The feeling when your child makes you happy is always incredible. We use lots of energy without reservation while parenting to nurture a responsible child who will make us proud parents. The joy of every mother is to see her child excel in so many aspects of life and when our expectations aren't coming, we might feel unfulfilled. Every child is unique and possesses different talents. It's left for us parents to discover it and help the child build it up.
It's been graduation season in so many schools here in Nigeria and so my son's school held a graduation/thanksgiving ceremony two days ago. My two older sons in school aren't graduating this year but we all went to cheer the graduates up and also to participate at the end of the term Thanksgiving.
I have known my second son as a bookaholic if there is an English like that 🤩🤩. He loves to learn everything around him unless the one not to his hearing. He is a type that loves learning his books rather than eating food. You can see that in his stature🤣🤣. I practically beg this boy to eat food but no, he can wake me up sometimes just to teach him a new thing or tell him a Bible story. The list is endless but the summary is that he is a book lover any time any day and I encourage him on that. My first son loves skills, handwork, music, etc...he is our drummer boy, all join🤩 and I encourage him as well in his areas of interest. So back to the graduation ceremony, it was an award-giving time and to my greatest surprise, they called my second son name, a non-graduating student oo as the overall best in all the academic performance in his class🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Oh my God! I never saw this award coming🤗, I mean I didn't expect such. He will be doing his
graduation next year and even if I should expect it, that will be next year not now. As if that gift wasn't enough, they still customized a pillow for him with his pictures on it. Imagine the smile 😊 on my face when they called the mother to come out for a shot💃💃💃🤩🤩. I was so proud of myself and my son and walked out elegantly...hahaha
I was speechless but then, the school proprietor and his teachers said he deserves the award of Excellence and I am humbled at his effort to achieve that. I am a happy mum like this and I am glad our little effort in nurturing is paying off. This motivates me to increase whatever assistance I am offering in the background.
Many children in the school got amazing talents and I was wowed by my observation over there. I saw their mothers smiling nonstop at their performances 🤗🤩

In summary, the graduation/thanksgiving ceremony was tremendous and I encourage every mother to try to discover the hidden talents in her child and assist in building them up.
