Happy start of the week to all the mommies and daddies of this great Motherhood community.
A week ago I was talking about how it has been to resume the reading process with my oldest daughter Alys after the vacations but I forgot to mention the tool I used and it is nothing more than an alphabet dictionary that helped her to learn again and differentiate each letter that make up the alphabet, this strategy was recommended by her preschool teacher, this was what I developed to make it more fun and less tedious for her.
I had no idea how to make one, so while looking through some school supplies I have at home I found half of a yellow binder and sheets, glue, black marker and a stapler to put it all together, my creativity on this day was not very developed but I did my best with what I had on hand to make it.
I also had to bring images of things, animals or fruits associated with each letter, so I took some books that I have at home that no longer have use and cut out those that were related, ideally at that time was that Alys would help me in the process of making the dictionary but just the day we were selecting the images we ran out of electricity and I had to complete the other day while she was at school.
First I cut with the scissors the white sheets in half so that they fit perfectly inside the folder, then with a marker I wrote the letters in uppercase and lowercase following the alphabet, I glued the images previously cut out next to them as for example I wrote A to, I glued the image and next to it I placed the name of the object or fruit which in this case was avocado, I repeated the process until I completed the whole alphabet, then I took the staple and put everything together and also identified it with the name of my daughter, it didn't take long to do it, in less than an hour everything was ready.
One of the benefits of the dictionary for children who are about to start reading is that it is a more entertaining way to learn the alphabet. In Alys' case, she took it to school and reviewed it with her teacher and also brought it back to the house for me to repeat it in the afternoons, In this way we managed to make her remember each letter and also associate them with the images, this helped her to start again with the daily reading and for the moment it is going very well, I just have to say that I filled myself with a lot of patience and love but being perseverant has its fruits.
I am still practicing with her so that I don't forget them again and I managed to memorize them since she associates them perfectly, this dictionary resource was a great tool, I don't know what I would do without the teacher and her ideas that are perfectly adapted to her learning.

Hace una semana les hablaba acerca de cómo ha sido retomar el proceso de lectura con mi hija mayor Alys después de las vacaciones decembrinas pero olvide hacerles referencia a la herramienta que emplee y no es más que un diccionario del abecedario que le ayudo para que pudiese nuevamente aprender y diferenciar cada letra que conforman el alfabeto, está estrategia fue por recomendación de su maestra del preescolar, esto fue lo que elabore para que fuera más divertido y menos tedioso para ella.
No tenía idea de como elaborar uno, así que mientras buscaba entre algunos materiales escolares que tengo en casa me encontré con la mitad de una carpeta amarilla y hojas, pega, marcador negro y una grapadora para unir todo, mi creatividad en este día no estaba muy desarrollada pero hice mi mayor esfuerzo con lo que tenía a la mano para hacerlo.
También debía llevar imágenes de cosas, animales o frutas asociadas con cada letra, así que tomé algunos libros que tengo en casa que ya no tienen uso y recorte las que fueran afines, lo ideal en ese momento era que Alys me ayudará en el proceso de elaboración del diccionario pero justo el día que estábamos seleccionando las imágenes nos quedamos sin electricidad y tuve que completar al otro día mientras estába en el colegio.
Primero corte con la tijera las hojas blancas a la mitad de tal forma que encajaran perfecto dentro de la carpeta, luego con un marcador escribí las letras en mayúsculas y minúsculas siguiendo el abecedario, pegue las imágenes antes recortadas al lado como por ejemplo escribí A a, pegue la imagen y al lado coloqué el nombre del objeto o fruta que en este caso era aguacate, repetí el proceso hasta completar todo el abecedario, luego tomé la grapa y junte todo además identifiqué con el nombre de mi hija, no tomo mucho tiempo realizarlo, en menos de una hora ya estaba todo listo.
Uno de los beneficios que tiene el diccionario para los niños que están por iniciarse en la lectura es que es una forma más entretenida de aprender el abecedario en el caso de Alys lo llevaba a la escuela y lo repasaba en compañía de su maestra y también lo traía de vuelta a la casa para yo repetir el mismo por las tardes, de esa manera logramos que ella recordará cada letra y también las asociará con las imágenes, esto le ayudo para arrancar nuevamente con la lectura diaria y que para el momento vaya muy bien, solo debo decir que me llene de mucha paciencia y amor pero ser perseverante tiene sus frutos.
Igual sigo practicando con ella para que no vuelva a olvidarlas y logré memorizar ya que al asociar lo hace perfecto, fue un gran herramienta este recurso del diccionario no se que haría sin la maestra y sus ideas que se adaptan perfecto a su aprendizaje.
