Good morning, moms and dads.
Before Easter, the girls had their project presentations for the second term. On one hand, there was Abby, who is in the 4-year-old preschool class, with the theme: Numbers; and on the other hand, there was Alys, who is in second grade, with the theme: "Guardians of the Heart."
A week before the project presentations, I prepared supporting materials for each of them. For Alys, I created a chart showing the size of the heart, which was the focus of her presentation. I drew the heart and compared its size to that of a fist, adding a note that it grows along with our bodies. The information had to be direct and concise so as not to fall into the trap of one of her classmates, who had been previously selected by her teacher.
For Abby, I drew some apples on construction paper that had holes to fit into circles on another sheet to represent the numbers 1 through 10, so she could count and find the one that matched the quantity. Making this learning aid took me about 3 hours, but I did it with all the love in the world since it would help her reinforce her knowledge in this area.
Before each presentation, we practice at home several times so they feel confident when speaking in front of their classmates. Even on the day of the presentation, we practiced for half an hour before leaving for school because they asked me to. I felt proud of the commitment they’ve been developing toward their education from a young age without having to force them—they enjoy studying.
I received videos of both of them since the project presentations are just attempts. Abby felt a little nervous during the presentation, but she was able to organize the numbers properly, and Alys didn’t forget a single word of her information; she was very confident and spoke with a good tone, and she really made her point.
I am very happy for them; seeing every experience and piece of knowledge they’ve gained in their classrooms lets me know that we’re on the right path toward academic excellence. At home, both of them received an award for their performance.

Buenos días, papitos y mamitas.
Antes de Semana Santa las niñas tuvieron su cierre de proyecto correspondiente al segundo lapso, por un lado estaba Abby que esta en sala de 4 años del preescolar con el tema: Los Números y por el otro lado Alys que estudia en segundo grado con el tema: "Guardianes del corazón".
Una semana antes de la defensa de los proyectos preparé el material de apoyo para cada una de ellas, para Alys preparé una lámina con el tamaño del corazón que era su punto a exponer, dibuje dicho órgano haciendo la comparativa de que tiene el tamaño del puño, con un escrito adicional de que crece a la par de nuestro cuerpo, la información debía ser directa y concisa para no caer en el punto de uno de sus amiguitos, los cuáles fueron previamente seleccionados por su maestra.
Para Abby dibuje unas manzanas de cartulina que debían tener unos agujeros que encajaran en unos círculos en otra lámina para representar los números del 1 al 10, con la finalidad de que realizara el conteo y buscará la que iba con la cantidad, realizar este material de apoyo me llevó aproximadamente 3 horas pero lo hice con todo el cariño del mundo ya que le ayudaría afianzar sus conocimientos en esta área.
Antes de cada exposición practicamos en casa durante varios veces para que se sienta confiadas al momento de hablar delante de sus compañeros e incluso el mismo día de la defensa practicamos media hora antes de irnos a la escuela porque ellas me lo pidieron, me sentía orgullosa del compromiso que van adquiriendo desde pequeñas con su educación sin tener que obligarlas, a ellas les gusta estudiar.
Recibí videos de ambas ya que los cierres de proyecto son intentos, Abby sintió un poco de pena durante la exposición, sin embargo pudo organizar los números en su lugar y Alys no olvidó mi una sola palabra de su información, estuvo muy segura y con un buen tono al hablar, defendió muy su punto.
Yo me siento muy contentas por ellas, ver cada experiencia y conocimiento adquirido en sus salones de clases me hace saber que vamos por un buen camino rumbo a la excelencia académica, en casa ambas recibieron un premio por su desempeño.
