Good morning, moms and dads! How are you doing on your journey to parenthood? For me, some days are good and others not so much, but my little ones are healthy, and that's what matters most. Besides, a hug from them makes everything better.
On the other hand, classes have started, and although I already bought the uniforms and supplies for the first days of school, I still had to buy the girls' school supplies, especially Abby's, who is in preschool and needs the complete list of supplies from the beginning. Alys was only asked for her notebooks and books for the different subjects according to her grade.
So I went to La Familia, a supermarket near my house, where they sell everything and have an aisle with stationery and school supplies. I took the lists with me to check off what I found. It took me a while to get everything because the shelves were a bit disorganized. Apparently, many parents are in the same situation. I was missing the books and will have to go to a bookstore to get them.
I had to wait in line down an entire aisle filled with people with their carts to pay for what I had, and I don't want to mention the total amount I paid because you might faint like I almost did. What I can say is that compared to other years, I bought less and paid more, but I was prepared for that.
Early on Saturday morning, I prepared Alys' notebooks with pretty, colorful covers for each subject. She was very happy because she would have new notebooks to write her notes in. In fact, yesterday, Monday, she started her second-grade schedule and took some of them with her.
All that's missing now are the books, and then I'll have everything I need for this school year. For now, I have to say goodbye.

¡Buenos días papitos y mamitas! ¿Como les va en su camino de la maternidad? Por mi parte hay días buenos y otros no tanto, pero están sanas mis pequeñas, eso es lo más importante, además una abrazo de ellas hace que todo se pase.
Por otra parte, empezaron las clases y aunque ya adquirí los uniformes y los útiles para los primeros días de clases, aún faltaba comprar las listas escolares de las niñas, sobretodo los materiales de Abby que está en preescolar y necesita la lista completa de materiales desde el inicio, a Alys solo le pidieron sus cuadernos y libros de las distintas asignaturas de acuerdo a su grado.
Así que fuí a La Familia un supermercado cerca de casa, donde venden de todo y tienen una pasillo con papelería y útiles escolares, llevé las listas conmigo para ir tachando lo que iba encontrando, demoré un poco en conseguir todo porque los estantes estaban un poco desorganizados, por lo visto muchos padres andan en las mismas, me faltaron los libros y tendré que ir a una librería por ellos.
Tuve que hacer una fila de un pasillo completo repleto de personas con sus carritos para poder pagar lo que llevaba, no quiero mencionarles el monto total que pague, porque podrían desmayarse como casi lo hago yo, lo que si puedo decir es que a comparación de otros años compre menos y pague más, pero ya iba preparada para eso.
El fin de semana desde muy temprano preparé los cuadernos de Alys con lindas y coloridas portadas con cada materia, ella estaba muy contenta porque llevaría cuadernos nuevos para escribir sus apuntes, que por cierto, ayer lunes inició con su horario de 2do grado y llevó consigo algunos.
Solo faltan los libros y daré por hecho todo lo necesario para este año escolar, por los momentos tengo que despedirme.
