Visita de las niñas al pediatra | Visit of the girls to the pediatrician 🩺

Buenos días queridos padres que conforman la comunidad de Motherhood, espero que las vacaciones de sus pequeños estén transcurriendo bastante bien, hoy les compartó nuestra reciente visita al pediatra.

Una vez que Alys terminó su año escolar teníamos pendiente ir a la doctora a una revisión llamada en nuestro país: control de niño sano en el que llevamos a nuestro pequeños a una consulta cuando no están enfermos para echar un vistazo como ha estado las últimas semanas en cuánto a su salud, tenía un tiempo que no traía a las niñas bajo esta modalidad pero es que los meses pasados han visitado a los doctores porque han tenido intoxicación, varicela, bastante malestares de gripe y hasta creímos que Alys había tratado una semilla, entonces han tenido es enfermedades y urgencias, además de que los doctores han sido quiénes estén de guardia en el momento.

Las últimas semanas han estado sin ningún tipo de problemas con la salud así que agendamos una consulta con su pediatra en el centro de salud, debo decir que me gusta mucho más este tipo de revisión porque no se centra en una enfermedad en específico que puedan tener en el momento sino que es más minuciosa la observación de las niñas en otras partes del cuerpo que no pueden verse en una emergencia.

Cuando por fin llego el día de la consulta tuvimos que esperar unos minutos a que llegara la doctora, así que mientras estábamos en la sala unas enfermeras nos compartieron información valiosa sobre chikungunya y el zika además de que debemos hacer en nuestros hogares para su prevención, luego a las niñas las tallaron y pesaron para posteriormente comparar con sus edades y ver si correspondían perfectamente con su crecimiento.

Llegó la doctora e inició la consulta la primera en ser examinada fue Alys la doctora me realizó unas preguntas de cómo se sentío las últimas semanas y yo le comentaba que ella estaba bien pero que en ocasiones por las noche tenía tos ella me dijo que la tos era alérgica e iba a tomar un medicamento para esto también le agregué que ya las niñas tenían 6 meses sin desparasitarse y que ya les tocaba, luego realizo su examen físico en cuanto al peso y talla está bien para su edad, vio sus oídos y estaban sanos, reviso su garganta, toco su pancita, escucho su corazón y respiraciones, todo bien.

Después fue el turno de Abby, que en las últimas semanas ha estado muy bien y no tenía nada que acotar al respecto, al principio de su revisión se dejó escuchar el corazón y respiración pero al momento de revisar sus oídos mamá tuvo que abrazarla porque no le gusta, también tocaron a su pancita para ver si algo dolía, la doctora al realizar el cálculo de peso y talla de mi pequeña para su edad me indicó que esta por debajo del porcentaje normal y que debía tomar una vitamina para aumentar su masa muscular.

Una vez completadas la consulta de cada niña, les colocaron desparasitante para ambas, también a Alys un medicamento para la tos y Abby para aumentar su musculatura y me dieron las indicaciones para cada uno, así culminó nuestra mañana con la pediatra y la revisión para niños sanos, tenemos cita para dentro de 6 meses y debemos traer exámenes de hematlogía completa y orina para ver que los valores estén normales y tampoco tengan alguna infección presente.

Good morning dear parents that make up the Motherhood community, I hope your little ones vacation is going pretty well, today I share with you our recent visit to the pediatrician.

Once Alys finished her school year we had pending to go to the doctor for a checkup called in our country: well child check up in which we take our little ones to a consultation when they are not sick to take a look at how they have been the last few weeks in how much to their health, it had a while that I did not bring the girls under this modality but is that the past months have visited the doctors because they have had poisoning, chicken pox, quite a lot of flu ailments and we even thought that Alys had treated a seed, then they have had is illnesses and emergencies, plus the doctors have been who are on call at the time.

The last few weeks have been without any health problems so we scheduled a consultation with their pediatrician at the health center, I must say that I like this type of checkup much better because it does not focus on a specific disease that they may have at the moment but it is more thorough observation of the girls in other parts of the body that can not be seen in an emergency.

When the day of the consultation finally arrived we had to wait a few minutes for the doctor to arrive, so while we were in the room some nurses shared with us valuable information about chikungunya and zika as well as what we should do in our homes for prevention, then the girls were measured and weighed to later compare with their ages and see if they corresponded perfectly with their growth.

The doctor arrived and started the consultation. The first one to be examined was Alys, the doctor asked me some questions about how she was feeling the last weeks and I told her that she was fine but that sometimes at night she had a cough, she told me that the cough was allergic and she was going to take a medicine for it, I also added that the girls had already had 6 months without deworming and that it was their turn, Then she did her physical exam, her weight and height were fine for her age, she saw her ears and they were healthy, checked her throat, touched her tummy, listened to her heart and breathing, everything was fine.

Then it was Abby's turn, who in recent weeks has been very well and had nothing to say about it, at the beginning of her checkup she let her heart and breathing be heard but at the time of checking her ears mom had to hug her because she doesn't like it, they also touched her tummy to see if anything hurt, the doctor when calculating the weight and size of my little girl for her age told me that she is below the normal percentage and that she should take a vitamin to increase her muscle mass.

Once completed the consultation of each girl, they placed deworming for both, also to Alys a cough medicine and Abby to increase her muscles and gave me the indications for each one, thus culminated our morning with the pediatrician and the review for healthy children, we have an appointment for 6 months and we must bring complete hematology and urine tests to see that the values are normal and do not have any infection present.
