Muchos de nosotros hacemos limpieza en casa y cuando de cartón se trata, tenemos la costumbre de guardar objetos o los mismos juguetes en su caja. Aunque en mi limpieza profunda encontré varias cajas de cartón de unos juguetes de mi hijo, (resulta que los juguetes los tiene en una cesta plástica) mientras que las cajas permanecían vacías no me agrado la idea de desecharlas.

Many of us do a lot of cleaning at home and when it comes to cardboard, we have the habit of keeping objects or the toys themselves in their box. Although in my deep cleaning I found several cardboard boxes of some of my son's toys, (turns out he has the toys in a plastic basket) while the boxes remained empty I didn't like the idea of throwing them away.

Así que se me ocurrió una idea de hacer portaretratos con dichas cajas. La verdad tenía este proyecto pensado hace un tiempo por unas fotos y dibujos de mi hijo hechos a lápiz de grafito y hb.

So I came up with the idea of making picture frames with those boxes. The truth is that I had this project in mind some time ago because of some photos and drawings of my son made with graphite pencil and hb.

Paso 1/ Step 1:

Elegir la caja o cartón en buenas condiciones para la realización de este portaretrato.

Choose the box or cardboard in good condition for the realization of this picture frame.

Paso 2/ Step 2:

Tener a la mano fotografía o dibujo que desee enmarcar en el cartón.

Have at hand a photograph or drawing that you want to frame on the cardboard.

Paso 3/ Step 3:

Tenemos la caja y las medidas de la foto o dibujo para trazarlo con el lápiz en el cartón por dentro para proceder a cortar con la ayuda de la tijeras.

We have the box and the measurements of the photo or drawing to trace it with the pencil on the inside of the cardboard to proceed to cut with the help of the scissors.

Paso 4/ Step 4:

Colocamos o fijamos el dibujo como es en este caso , dentro del cartón y esta caja tiene gran parte de plástico que ayuda a la presentación.

We place or fix the drawing as it is in this case, inside the cardboard and this box has a large part of plastic that helps the presentation.

Paso 5/ Step 5:

Luego fijamos el dibujo y organizamos los detalles de la misma caja, hubo uno que le gustó a mi hijo en forma de rombo que pueden notar en la parte superior izquierda que contiene la temática del dibujo del juguete (el dinosaurio robot).

Then we fix the drawing and organize the details of the same box, there was one that my son liked in the shape of a rhombus that you can notice in the upper left part that contains the theme of the drawing of the toy (the robot dinosaur).

Paso 6/ Step 6:

Con el celoven logré con la ayuda de mi hijo pegamos o sellamos los detalles para nuestro portaretrato.

With the celoven I made with the help of my son we glued or stamped the details for our picture frame.

Paso 7/ Step 7:

En la parte de atrás lo hice con un soporte con el mismo cartón restante haciendo una forma de escuadra chiquita y con celoven lo fijamos por ambos lados, se logró que dicho soporte sostuviera el portaretrato.

On the back I made a support with the same remaining cardboard making a small square shape and with celoven we fixed it on both sides, this support was able to hold the picture frame.

Mi hijo estaba muy contento con los resultados, él quería colocarlo junto a nuestra foto familiar.

My son was very happy with the results, he wanted to place it next to our family photo.

Estaba tan feliz y emocionado por este proyecto que hicimos, y yo ni se diga, "si mi hijo es feliz, yo también lo seré".
Así que decidimos hacer otros portaretratos a otros dibujos que tenía de él.

He was so happy and excited about this project we did, and I can't even say, "if my son is happy, I will be happy too".
So we decided to make other picture frames to other pictures I had of him.

Con el mismo procedimiento, con la diferencia que estos no tendrían soporte atrás.
Para proteger los dibujos ubicamos un plástico de una carpeta transparente y los coloque en manos dibujos para evitar que el polvo, agua o cualquier u otro líquido los dañe.

With the same procedure, with the difference that these would not have a back support.
To protect the drawings we placed a plastic of a transparent folder and placed them in the drawings hands to prevent dust, water or any other liquid from damaging them.

Lo pagaré con silicón en la pared de la habitación de mi hijo para seguir decorandola.

I will put it with silicone on the wall of my son's room to continue decorating it.

La idea de reciclar me ha gustado siempre y los cartones estaban geniales para este proyecto.
