Hola comunidad de Hive account@motherhood, es la primera vez que escribo en esta comunidad, me llamo Santiago y lo hago porque quiero contarles una buena experiencia. Hace unos días fui con mi mamá Hive account@floreudys79 a abrir una nueva cuenta bancaria de ahorros. Yo ya tenía una desde que tenía 9 años, pero era en un banco que me daba muchos problemas, ya que la señal casi nunca servía, no podía hacer pago móvil y la tarjeta siempre me la rechazaban en los puntos porque no reconocía el chip. Además, el banco tenía un horario muy limitado a la hora de usar la aplicación y si tocaba hacer pagos fuera de ese horario siempre era un rollo.

A few days ago, I went with my mom Hive account@floreudys79 to open a new savings account. I already had one since I was 9 years old, but it was at a bank that gave me a lot of problems, since the signal almost never worked, I couldn't make mobile payments, and my card was always rejected at points of sale because it didn't recognize the chip. In addition, the bank had very limited hours for using the app, and if I had to make payments outside of those hours, it was always a hassle.

Mi mamá empezó a buscar información en diciembre y encontró otro banco que está recibiendo a muchos menores de edad y lo mejor de todo es que no pedían tantos requisitos. Solo necesitábamos una constancia de trabajo de mi mamá y 300 bolívares para abrir la cuenta y yo los saqué de mis ahorros que tengo en hive. Así que el viernes antes de comenzar las clases mi mamá me llevó y en menos de 45 minutos ya tenía mi cuenta lista. Me dieron mi libreta de ahorro y mi tarjeta de débito de una vez. Hasta mi mamá aprovechó y abrió una cuenta también porque ella tiene el mismo problema con su banco.

My mom started looking for information in December and found another bank that is accepting many minors, and best of all, they didn't have so many requirements. We just needed proof of my mom's employment and 300 bolivars to open the account, which I took from my savings in Hive. So, on the Friday before school started, my mom took me there, and in less than 45 minutes, my account was ready. They gave me my savings book and debit card right away. My mom even took advantage of the opportunity and opened an account too because she has the same problem with her bank.

La verdad es que me pareció bien la experiencia. El personal del banco fue muy amable, me explicaron todo con paciencia y aunque me tocó firmar un montón de papeles que me pareció raro al principio, mi mamá me dijo que eso es normal y me orientaron con el uso de la aplicación. De verdad que me sentí muy bien porque me trataron como una adulto.

The truth is that I enjoyed the experience. The bank staff were very friendly, they explained everything to me patiently, and although I had to sign a lot of papers, which I found strange at first, my mom told me that this is normal, and they guided me through how to use the app. I really felt great because they treated me like an adult.

Ahora puedo hacer mis pagos sin problema, recargar saldo y hasta pagar el autobús cuando me toca venirme solo del entrenamiento. Ya no tengo que estar pidiendo efectivo ni preocupándome si no tengo sencillo. También puedo seguir haciendo pago móvil, que ya lo hacía desde hace tiempo porque mi papá casi siempre me manda a hacer compras.

Now I can make my payments without any problems, top up my balance, and even pay for the bus when I have to come home alone from training. I no longer have to ask for cash or worry if I don't have change. I can also continue to make mobile payments, which I've been doing for a long time because my dad almost always sends me to do the shopping.

Mis papás siempre me dicen que tengo que aprender a ahorrar, aunque yo se que es difícil porque todo está caro y nada rinde. Pero ellos insisten en que aunque sea un poquito, guarde algo de lo que me da semanal para comprar en la cantina, para ir aprendiendo a manejar mi dinero y tener una cultura de ahorro.

My parents always tell me that I have to learn to save money, even though I know it's difficult because everything is expensive and nothing lasts. But they insist that even if it's just a little bit, I should save some of the money they give me each week to buy snacks at the cafeteria, so that I can learn to manage my money and develop a culture of saving.

De verdad les recomiendo que si tienen hijos, los animen a abrir su cuenta. Es una forma de enseñarles a ser responsables, a manejar su plata y a sentirse más independientes. A mí me gusto y estoy contento con mi cuenta nueva. Gracias a todos.
