Hola familia, como siempre es un verdadero placer venir a compartir el privilegio y el regalo que me entregó la vida al designarme el rol de padre. En verdad me emociona volver a la comunidad y entregar un "pedacito" de los conocimientos y las practicas que hemos desarrollado como equipo durante estos cuatro años de vida del motor principal y estimulo por el cual me levanto todos los días motivado con suficiente energía para retomar las labores y actividades que están bajo mi responsabilidad.

Así es, ya son cuatro años y lo celebramos recientemente el pasado 2 de abril. En realidad no fue lo que esperaba, en mi mente tenia pensado realizar algo sencillo junto a mis padres, mi hermanas, cualquier primo y/o tío que se pudiera acercar. Sin embargo las expectativas quedaron cortas porque al final fue una muy buena celebración, donde compartimos, jugamos muchísimo con los niños, pasapalos en cortos periodos de tiempo :) y pues mucha alegría que desbordo nuestro humilde hogar. Jere cuando fue a apagar las velas estaba durmiéndose, ¡imaginense!. Lamento no haber tomado fotos, pero estaba montado atendiendo y pues las evidencia solo me quedó en recuerdos que se expresan a través de estas palabras.

Hello family, as always it is a real pleasure to come and share the privilege and the gift that life has given me by designating me the role of father. I am really excited to return to the community and deliver a "little piece" of the knowledge and practices that we have developed as a team during these four years of life of the main engine and stimulus for which I get up every day motivated with enough energy to resume the work and activities that are under my responsibility.

That's right, it's already four years and we recently celebrated it last April 2. Actually it was not what I expected, in my mind I had planned to do something simple with my parents, my sisters, any cousin and / or uncle who could approach. However, my expectations fell short because in the end it was a very good celebration, where we shared, played a lot with the kids, had snacks in short periods of time :) and a lot of joy that overflowed our humble home. When Jere went to blow out the candles he was falling asleep, imagine! I'm sorry I didn't take pictures, but I was busy attending and the evidence only remained in memories that are expressed through these words.

La dinámica de ese fin de semana comenzó un día antes cuando salimos a comprar algunas cosas al centro de la ciudad, siempre que lo hacemos tenemos un ritual establecido de pasar por un local especializado en la venta de productos que se derivan del coco, ¡fruta tropical conocida por todos!.

La salud es un punto importante en mi vida y desde que estaba en la barriga he buscado que Jeremías consuma alimentos y frutas naturales que fortalezcan su crecimiento y salud integral. El coco es una bendición en el planeta, es una fruta bondadosa que contiene la mayoría de los elementos que perdemos cuando realizamos actividades físicas. Es fácil de transportar y lo mejor es que puedes conseguirlo en casi todos los rincones de la ciudad.

The dynamics of that weekend began the day before when we went out to buy some things downtown, whenever we do it we have an established ritual of passing by a store specializing in the sale of products derived from coconut, ***tropical fruit known to all!

Health is an important point in my life and since I was in the belly I have been looking for Jeremias to consume natural foods and fruits that strengthen his growth and overall health. Coconut is a blessing on the planet, it is a kind fruit that contains most of the elements that we lose when we do physical activities. It is easy to transport and the best thing is that you can get it in almost every corner of the city.

Esta vez nuestra caminata tuvo un cambio de lo que hacemos habitualmente y descubrimos el mejor local de venta de productos del coco, tenia de todo, puedes pedir el agua, la pulpa, el aceite, conservas y los mas espectacular es que el local está exactamente al frente de una plaza que dentro de sus instalaciones tiene un parque bastante completo y que por ahora esta bien conservado.

This time our walk had a change from what we usually do and we discovered the best place to sell coconut products, it had everything, you can ask for water, pulp, oil, preserves and the most spectacular thing is that the place is right in front of a square that within its facilities has a fairly complete park and that for now is well preserved.

En realidad fue Jere quien hizo el hallazgo, creo que hemos pasado por allí varias veces y no nos habíamos fijado en el parque. Es un pequeño rincón de la plaza pero tiene las atracciones básicas para que los niños pasen un buen rato junto a sus padres.

Actually Jere was the one who made the find, I think we have passed by there several times and had not noticed the park. It is a small corner of the plaza but has the basic attractions for kids to spend quality time together with their parents.

Así fue como entonces celebramos que mi hijo completó los cuatro años como diría mi abuelo, nada mejor que una visita al parque juntos, el fin de semana se convirtió en nuestro cómplice al colocar en nuestro camino una de las cosas que hace mas feliz a mi hijo, estar en un parque. Ese gozo es mas completo cuando se encuentran niños allí y puede hacer uso de sus habilidades para conseguir amiguitos. ¡Siempre dejamos varios en cada parque!

El sol estaba radiante, así que la tarde fue genial. Aprovechamos la sombra de los grandes arboles de la plaza que daban bastante fresco. Y la compañía de varios grupos de niños que desfilaron durante toda la tarde con sus padres.

So we celebrated my son's fourth birthday as my grandfather would say, nothing better than a visit to the park together, the weekend became our accomplice by putting in our way one of the things that makes my son happiest, being in a park. That joy is more complete when there are children there and he can use his skills to make friends. ***We always leave several at each park!

The sun was shining, so the afternoon was great. We took advantage of the shade of the big trees in the square which were quite cool. And the company of several groups of children who paraded all afternoon with their parents.

Pienso que como padres debemos darle importancia a estos espacios de esparcimiento donde los niños puedan compartir con otros, relacionarse y al mismo tiempo realizar actividad física, corriendo, saltando y mas. Esto hará que nuestros niños se alejen del sedentarismo, ademas es importante mezclar esa actividades con una buena alimentación alejada de los azucares procesados. Por ejemplo en vez de tomar un helado o cualquier dulce, gracias a Dios mi hijo me pide "Papá quiero un coquito". Estas cosas no se logran de un día para el otro, entonces lo mejor es que si es posibles nuestros niños no conozcan las golosinas en su vida. Crea adicción, no alimentan, excitan el organismo y no los deja descansar, estimula la aparición de caries, el páncreas trabaja con alta presión...

El fin de semana en su totalidad fue dedicado a realizar cosas que le gustan a Jeremias, creo que esos dos días corrió mas de lo que había echo en mucho tiempo. Para mi es un privilegio poder verlo con una gran sonrisa y cuando llega todo emocionado a contarme los por menores de las cosas que va haciendo en cada aparato que se encuentra en el parque.

I think that as parents we should give importance to these recreational spaces where children can share with others, interact and at the same time perform physical activity, running, jumping and more. This will help our children get away from a sedentary lifestyle, and it is also important to mix these activities with a good diet away from processed sugars. For example, instead of having an ice cream or any candy, thank God my son asks me "Dad, I want a coquito ". These things are not achieved from one day to the other, so the best thing is that if possible our children do not know the sweets in their lives. They create addiction, they do not feed, they excite the organism and do not let them rest, they stimulate the appearance of cavities, the pancreas works with high pressure...

The whole weekend was dedicated to do things that Jeremias likes to do, I think that those two days he ran more than he had done in a long time. For me it is a privilege to see him with a big smile on his face and when he comes in all excited to tell me about the little things he is doing on each piece of equipment he finds in the park.
