Hey fungi lovers, have a nice weekend! Here are some mushrooms captured by me in separate places.
Pycnoporus sanguineus
Pycnoporus sanguineus is a fungus commonly found in tropical areas and tends to occur in humid places. Known as white rot saprobic fungus, it has a bright orange color, a tough texture, and the underside has minute and coarse pores. This fungus usually grows on rotting deadwood. The herbal industry has widely used Pycnoporus s. extract because its content is useful for the treatment of several diseases, such as gout, arthritis, ulcers, fever, sore throat, and so on.
Daldinia concentrica
King Alfred's cake (Daldinia concentrica), as this fungus is known, I found growing on dead wood. They're shaped like cake balls and are wine purple in color, but some are brown—yes, from afar they look like delicious chocolate balls—and they don't seem to have stems.
Ganoderma (Polypore mushroom)
In the local people's garden, I also found some Ganoderma (Polypore mushroom) growing on the trunks of areca nut trees. I assumed the mushrooms were quite old. On some surfaces, it appears to have been damaged and it is very likely that it was caused by beetles.
