With the onset of winter, the topic of mushrooms somehow faded into the background. It is not right. The kingdom of mushrooms deserves our attention all year round. So today I went to the archives and ended up in the fall.
I will not say that it was a hot mushroom season. The main interesting mushrooms were no longer growing. But you can still find something for the photo.
It was a quiet mushroom hunt, not with a knife and a basket, but with a camera. There are mushrooms that grow all year round. True, they do not grow in winter, but they do not die either. They just sleep until next spring or a good thaw.
You, of course, guessed that we are talking primarily about tinder fungus. These are the fungi that parasitize old wood. They can also destroy a completely healthy tree if there is a crack or an old notch from an ax on it. Some visitors to the forest like to throw knives and axes into trees. If such people read this line, then know, in this way you can destroy a normal healthy tree. The wound can, of course, heal, the trees have a cure in the form of resin. But spores of the tinder fungus can get there and then things are bad.
These photographer-friendly mushrooms can be deadly to the tree. Therefore, while in the forest, do not break branches again and do not injure trees. It is much more pleasant just to walk through the forest and admire its beauty.
Looking at these autumn views, one can forget that it is winter outside and everything is covered with white snow.
But we will return to the snow more than once. Winter is in full swing and there will be many more winter photos, but now we are interested in mushrooms.
As you can see, not only tinder fungus grow on wood. And even in late autumn, you can find something else. Especially for photography.
And especially if you have a faithful friend and helper.
Yes, that day my shopping cart was practically empty. But the autumn forest was just as empty and quiet. I have not met a single person or a single animal. Not even the birds caught my eye. It was a day of loneliness, which does not burden, but on the contrary brings calmness and relaxation. I didn't have the Internet with me and I cut off the connection, only the camera and the forest.
