Coprinus Picaceus

There's another autumn mushroom season exactly now happening in Croatia. This year I decided to take my camera with the macro lens with me more often when going mushroom hunting in the forest. This year I'm focused more on finding magical & medicinal mushroom & I'm not picking much the edible ones. I'm mostly searching for the Psilocybe Serbica which is the domestic Balkan psilocybin magic mushroom firstly discovered in Serbia but it can be found all over Balkans & middle Europe & Hericium erinaceus or better known as Lion's mane which recovers brain cells. Till now I didn't find any but in the process I decided to make fungi photos that I encounter while hunting & this Coprinus is one such beautiful mushroom!

The upper shots I made with Nikon Z6 & Sigma 105 mm DG Macro HSM. For the self-portrait below I used the older Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens.
