In The Netherlands this mushroom is always associated with gnomes.
There is a popular childrens song about a gnome bouncing on one of these mushrooms.
Although it is quite common I haven't seen a lot of them. Probably because I'm paying more attention to mushrooms nowadays.
Today I found five of them on a short walk I made.
Some of them have round caps like the one below.
Although they look nice they are poisonous, so don't eat them.
