Hello Fellow fungi lovers,
Hope everyone's having a good #fungifriday.
I certainly am. We finally had rain in these parts, and that means mushrooms growing beyond the range of my sprinkler for the first time in weeks.
I'm not sure what these orange polypores are but they look a lot like (some of) the photos I found of pycnoporus cinnabarinus. (https://www.alamy.com)
There were certainly some interesting shapes.
I also found some wood ears,
which are always pretty interesting shapes.
Another interesting polypore:
Left the dog paws in the shot for scale, while resisting the impulse to make a pawlypore joke. (You're welcome.)
And I found some bright orange chicken of the woods.😋
Laetiporus sulfureus.
For my final polypore, I found some bolete mushrooms
Obviously a blue staining bolete, but...
possibly the bi-color bolete, which is edible. I wasn't sure so I didn't go for it.
I continue to find more winecaps, but I guess you all have seen enough photos of them for now.
Thanks for checking out my post and thanks to @ewKaw for hosting another fun #fungifriday:)
