Beautiful mountain Goc, sunny November, and fantastic time spent in nature. We walked a lot, we didn't see many people, because the summer tourist season is long over, and the winter has not started yet. But we enjoyed the peace. Along the trails and in the forests of this beautiful mountain, which I will write about in particular, we came across a variety of mushrooms. Well, here is the gallery :)
We came across many mushrooms, but the most striking are these large red mushrooms, which were on the edge of the forest. I'm not sure, but I think it's Russula emetica or "the sickener". The taste of this mushroom, they say, is disgusting. That is why it is called "šumska bljuvara" - "forest vomiting" in our country. It is very difficult, sometimes almost impossible to translate some Serbian words and constructions into English, so this translation is approximately, just to bring you closer to the way we give names to mushrooms. The first two mushrooms grew on a slope.
The ground was wet and the weather was sunny, so I expected to come across a variety of mushrooms.
Like these friendly ones, gathered around an old stump.
...but also the lonely ones
or the messy ones.
I hope you enjoyed my mushroom hunt. I certainly did.
Happy Fungi Friday everyone and I wish you a wonderful weekend. Relax and have fun!
Much love,
Snežana
