She was right. Usually, I don't like to discuss and seek justice, I prefer to be at peace than to prove otherwise. Hm, that I will always look for mushrooms from now on? It was hard to imagine, judging by the place where I live. But really, that person was right to tell me this:
Welcome to the dark side! Now you will look for them wherever you go :D muahaha
What? Dark side? Oh no, she was right!!!!
My walks turned into looking at the foot of the trees, seeking those small mushrooms. Colourful, strange-shaped, alien shrooms, however, nothing came by. Until Saturday.
I went with my husband for our afternoon walk, close to a small river. The walk was nice, I enjoyed nature and the air. It was slowly getting late, but it was still sunny. We headed home and that is when I saw this on a tree.
Can you think how happy I was? No? Well, I tell you, my smile on my face probably radiated as much as that afternoon sun. Here's the proof of the happy mushrooms.
So, that was it, just a few photos of one tree adorned with shrooms. The other trees had lichens, and it pleased my eyes as well.
Then Sunday came, and the afternoon was calling us to another walk, this time in the pine forest.
Sunday crime scene for my husband's vlogs
I came across those small plants, I already mentioned them once.
They have a bulb, so I took out one from the soil, brought it home and planted it into a pot. I will see if it will survive.
Later, I saw some spots on the stones, yellow and orange.
Lichens
What are the chances to find there anything connected to the topic mushrooms? I would say zero. But I would say it BEFORE I found this Eucalyptus tree.
A small one, but nice. And, it was fully adorned with fungi. Like ballerina skirts dancing on stage.
I could just hear the music in my head, Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky. Small white and grey skirts.
Some steps further there was another three, with the same pattern. The sun was setting, it got darker and my fungi excursion seemed to be finished for that day.
So, here we are, it is Friday, and it is time to write and publish my fungi experience for this week. I had to go first to the grocery, so I walked along the dry river bed, where there are some trees. However, here you really can to find mushrooms. Just some snails...
Or resin, hoping they would be mushrooms, but clearly, not this time.
And a smiling tree? No way it will stay just like this.
I was hurrying to buy some eyes, you know those small #googlyeyes? I found them and packed with the food from the supermarket, I went back to my smiling tree. The eyes were so excited that didn't want to wait more time. Escaped from my rucksack, climbed the roots...
climbed more on the roots....
...and reached their destination. Now the smiling tree is really happy and has a name.
Happy Freddy. He received some hugs from me, people were looking at us what I am doing but doesn't matter.
As yesterday was the International Hugging Day (21 of January) and we need 14 hugs daily to be happy, I think we deserved that hug. Despite the strange looks of passers-by I was walking and giving hugs to trees.
P.S. If you still don't know who is the person from the beginning of this post, I am going to reveal that mystery. That was and this is my entry for the event #FungiFriday.
