Here is a special Valentines Day edition of #mushroommonday
Instead of candy hearts I present to you some colorful mushroom hearts against a veggie background. Much healthier than pure sugar hearts :-)
The first mushroom is Amanita muscaria var. guessowii basically a yellow version of the iconic red Amanita muscaria. This guy will give you only a tiny buzz compared to the red ones.
As a candy heart I would imagine this one would be a mango peach flavor in a nice green ground cover wrapping.
The next mushroom is a common and healthy turkeytail. No cavities here just anticancer properties.
I would imagine this candy heart would taste sort of like licorice and it is wrapped in a nice silver fern coating.
Here is a bitter Boletus miniato-olivaceus that tastes terrible. This one would be similar to sneaking an atomic warhead candy into a normal candy wrapper.
This as a candy would definitely give a burst of flavor, but in a bad way lol. Pure bitterness a perfect trick for those who you don't want to be your valentines.
The next mushroom is a lobster mushroom aka Hypomyces lactifluorum a choice delicious edible mushroom.
As a candy this one would probably be an orange fizzing sort of candy that would disintegrate in your mouth similar to pop rocks candy.
Here is a nice shiny and healthy reishi. This one has many health benefits including reduction of high blood pressure and cholesterol
I would imagine this one having a cherry flavor with a chocolate middle and it would probably be the most favored flavor out of this bunch.
Here is a giant lichen with all sorts of antibacterial qualities.
This one's flavor is probably in the mint family with a hint of grape... Not sure it would be the greatest taste but you can give this to the weird but cute valentine crush in the class lol.
That's all for now happy #mushroommonday and Valentines day :-)
