The world sucks if you think so. Look for loopholes that we can use to organize and create what makes us happy. What can make you happy? Think again. In the short term, not for the long term in your life. Something you can do easily but gives positive energy which then drives you to focus on doing something.
Maybe it's about soaking in a flowing river, walking in a green area, or just drinking coffee in a calm, peaceful place. Maybe about arranging fresh flowers in a vase and creating a small corner for yourself to work at home.
Do you like flowers? Maybe it's more specific to women. But for men, maybe you like to give flowers to the people you love or accompany your loved ones to buy flowers at the market. So, this time I will invite you to shop for flowers while chatting a little about life (as always, ehehe).
Fresh Flowers Are Always The Best.
I thank God for giving me the gift in life to be able to buy fresh. I love that I can always buy the fresh flowers I want when I can't get fresh flowers or wildflowers.
Since a long time ago, my late mom and I have enjoyed arranging flowers in a vase and placing the vase on my desk. My late mom always wanted me to create my best writing. So from then on, I got into the habit of buying cut flowers.
I love flowers. Apart from creating a therapeutic atmosphere in the room, fresh flowers will keep my memories of my late mom in my life. Like the bright red color of a flower, the memory of my late mom always burns bright in my head.
Today I bought fresh flowers. Apart from putting flowers on my late mom's grave, I will also arrange flowers on my desk.
Accompanied by my husband, I went to the only fresh flower shop in the city where I live. I am always happy when I arrive at this flower shop. Although today their flower collection is not as fresh as yesterday's flowers.
I stood long enough to choose the flowers I want to buy. I thought of a variety of colors that would be nice to put in a vase.
To decorate my desk this time, I chose "baby breath flowers" and "pink rose". I immediately told the seller to give me flowers for $2 from the combination of the two types of flowers that I mentioned earlier.
I always do it that way. Setting my own price, not asking what the price is for each type of flower. So, that way, I'll get a lower price than I should.
For baby breath flowers this time it's not as fresh as yesterday, said the seller. But I have no problem at all. Also, because the price can be cheaper. The results of the flower arrangements will look unaffected by the fresh quality of the baby breath flowers this time.
That's how I buy flowers in the city where I live at a low price. For the record, I can get only $1 but only for one type of flower, not a combination of two types of flowers.
The flowers I want to buy are placed on the counter first. Then a market servant wrapped my flowers in the newspaper. Also, remove the rootstock of the flowers to make it easier to bring home.
Apart from using newsprint, we can also request a paper or plastic bouquet if the flowers we buy want to be shaped into a beautiful flower bouquet. But to save money, I prefer to wrap my flowers in crumpled newsprint.
I brought the flowers that I bought with a feeling of happiness. I got what I wanted. As simple as that!
Next, I will arrange these flowers to decorate a small corner for my working space. Stay tuned.
Using an Coffee Cup.
I arrived at my mother-in-law's house after stopping by my late mom's grave to put a pink rose there. (I didn't take pictures of the condition of the graves there. Just for my private moment).
Well, at my mother-in-law's house, I don't have a special room to work (for writing space). I tend to move around the table, from the coffee table, to the dining table, to the small table in the corner of the room for writing. I do it all to avoid boredom and depend on the comfort I feel at that time.
Luckily, my mother-in-law is always happy to let me organize her things for my work convenience. Just like my biological mother used to be during her lifetime, my mother-in-law also treats her well. How lucky I am. I can feel comfortable in my mother-in-law's house just like me feel comfortable in my own home. It is a blessing from god.
Then, I prepared enough sugar and water. I got the sugar water trick to keep flowers fresh longer from Instagram. It's been working pretty well for me so far.
I eliminated the stems and petals before I made a string. Also, I trimmed their stems to fit the height of the cups I used.
I used baby-breath flower stalks to tie the whole flower arrangement together. That's so they look neater when arranged into a cup that was previously filled with sugar water.
A Beautiful Flower Arrangement In My Writing Space.
Feels like the beautiful side of peace to me. Flower arrangements with recycle cups are arranged neatly in my small writing space. In the corner of the room, by the window which is always my good energy channel.
A notebook for important notes. An old laptop that has accompanied me for over 6 years. Also, a wireless fan keeps the air cooler.
That's how I make myself happy with fresh flowers. Organizing my small working space is indeed another level of happiness. How do you create good energy around your day?
Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.
