Today is wednesday, it's time for me to share my second day experience as one of the speakers at the poetry musicalization training held in Banda Aceh, in my city, this training was held for 3 days, at a hotel on the outskirts of town, namely the Jeumpa hotel. Yesterday I explained the material for the first day, now it's time for the second day, and this is the material
Yesterday I explained 3 tips on "how to make poetry musicalization easily" With several elements that must be met in a poetry musical composition.

The musicalization of poetry has two elements that must be met, namely music and poetry presented in a performance. It all started with a poem, which was then sung and recited. So in a musical composition of poetry there must be a poem that is sung and the poem is read, usually the poem that is read is the essence of the poem.
And here are 2 more tips
Align between vocals and music
After we find the basic tone of the poem, the next step is alignment. This stage actually takes a long time.
If it's just channeling a hobby, this stage can be done individually. We recorded vocals and music. Then, listen to the recording. If you feel there is a discrepancy between the music and vocals, immediately revise/re-record. And so on.
If we can't play a musical instrument, please ask a friend for help. There should be at least one person singing and one person playing music.
If the musicalization of poetry is made to be staged or contested, my advice is to give the recording of the initial notes at the previous stage to our friends who understand music and vocals. Here there may be the addition of musical instruments and melodies.
At this stage of the training, there were 40 trainees, we divided them into 5 groups, where each group consisted of someone proficient at playing the guitar, a proficient at singing, and able to read poetry.
We group them from a variety of different talents, so that each group has various talents.
Presenting the musicalization of poetry
This is the final stage of the musicalization of poetry. From the start, it must be understood that this activity is ultimately a product. It can be just audio or it can be audiovisual. The product can be presented live (staging) or recorded.
In order for the presentation of the musicalization of his poetry to be good and correct, we need to pay attention to the following five aspects.
- The compatibility of the song with the character of the poem
- The use of musical instruments
- Appreciation/expression (especially audiovisual)
- Pronunciation and intonation
- Performance/appearance (including costumes and props).
Ok, that's my next 2 tips on how to easily musicalize poetry.
On the second day, in addition to explaining these 2 tips, I invite all participants to immediately practice the 2 tips using existing musical instruments, such as the guitar, violin, and cajon.
