All Star Wars fans want to see series, movies and more that satiate us that constant curiosity to know more about some of its characters, the possible landscapes and worlds, beings and events around this universe where we met the force, of which we know little or the various beliefs of the Jedi and Sith; so all the series that have been created by Lucasflim, we are satiating or sometimes increasing the desire to know more and a few days ago and after the end of the last season of The Bad Lot we were introduced:
Tales of the Empire
This new animated series as its name suggests presents us with some stories mainly of characters and circles close to the empire, in this first season they focus on two people who were introduced to us in previous series of this universe.
Chronicles of the Empire tells us in very short chapters of 10 or 15 minutes the stories of Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee, for those who may not know the first was a Sister of the Night a witch of Dathomir and perhaps the only or one of the few survivors, after the attack that the Droid army led by General Grievous, carried out to finish with Asajj Ventress, since the Sisters of the Night were her people and had helped her to carry out her revenge against her former master Count Dooku.
Of the six chapters of this series, the first three are dedicated to show us three stages of the life of Morgan who we saw for the first time in The Mandalorian and then in Asoka, we are shown when she lost her people and mother, then when she was already a magistrate and was recruited by Grand Admiral Thrawn and then after the fall of the Empire, so in these three chapters make a brief attempt to give us to know a little more of her.
Now, in the last three chapters they let us know what happened to Barriss Offee, this young woman was the last Padawan of Master Luminara Unduli, she was seen in the Star Wars movie: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and later in some of the chapters of the series the Clone Wars, Barriss feeling disillusioned by the actions or inactions of the Jedi order considering that they had left aside the true path of the Jedi, betrays them, which in turn produced that Asoka left the order and that Barriss after being discovered ended up in prison.
But, the basic difference of these last three chapters with the first three lies in the fact that since we already have a better knowledge of the character, we are not left with so many gaps to answer; I do not want to give more spoilers; however, I want to emphasize that it is interesting to see how this young woman somehow kept I think even unknowingly part of the lessons received in the depths of her being.
On the other hand, the animation is what we are already used to after seeing in the Clone Wars or The Bad Batch, but this time in my particular case and I am sure that also to others the shortness of each chapter left us wanting more, wanting to have delved deeper into the stories of these two characters, which in turn will allow us to fill a little more gaps of what happened at some points.
In conclusion, while it is true that its chapters are very short and one of the two stories was as weak, it is certainly an option to stay in front of the screen and especially to see how the years are passing for these characters, so if like me you are a fan of Star Wars this series in its first season you will like it. and you already saw it?

Todos los fans de Star Wars deseamos ver series, películas y más que nos sacien esa constante curiosidad por conocer más de algunos de sus personajes, los posibles paisajes y mundos, seres y sucesos en torno a este universo donde conocimos a la fuerza, de la que sabemos poco o de las diversas creencias de los Jedís y Sith; así todas las series que han sido creadas por Lucasflim, nos van saciando o a veces aumentando las ganas de saber más y hace unos días y tras el final de la última temporada de El Lote Malo nos presentaron:
Crónicas del Imperio
Esta nueva serie animada como su nombre lo señala nos presenta algunas historias principalmente de personajes y círculos cercanos al imperio, en esta primera temporada se centran en dos personas que nos fueron presentados en series anteriores de este universo.
Crónicas del Imperio nos narra en capítulos muy breves de 10 o 15 minutos las historias de Morgan Elsbeth y Barriss Offee, para los que tal vez lo desconozcan la primera era una Hermana de la Noche una bruja de Dathomir y tal vez la única o una de las pocas sobrevivientes, luego del ataque que el ejército de Droide liderado por el General Grievous, realizara para acabar con Asajj Ventress, ya que las Hermanas de la Noche eran su pueblo y la habían auxiliado para llevar a cabo su venganza contra quien fuera su antiguo maestro El Conde Dooku.
De los seis capítulos de esta serie, los primeros tres los dedican a mostrarnos tres etapas de la vida de Morgan a quien vimos por primera vez en The Mandalorian y luego en Asoka, nos la muestran cuando perdió a su pueblo y madre, luego cuando ya era una magistrada y fue reclutada por Gran Almirante Thrawn y luego tras la caída del Imperio, así en estos tres capítulos hacen un intento breve por darnos a conocer un poco más de ella.
Ahora bien, en los tres últimos nos permiten conocer que ocurrió con Barriss Offee, esta joven fue la última padawan de la maestra Luminara Unduli se le vio en la película Star Wars: episodio II - El ataque de los clones y posteriormente en algunos de los capítulos de la serie la Guerra de los Clones, Barriss al sentirse desilusionada por las acciones o inacciones de la orden Jedi considerando que habían dejado de lado el verdadero camino de los jedis, los traiciona, lo que a su vez produjo que Asoka abandonara la orden y que Barris tras ser descubierta terminara en prisión.
Pero, la diferencia básica de estos tres últimos capítulos con los tres primeros radica en que al ya tener un mayor conocimiento del personaje no nos quedan tantos vacíos por responder; no deseo dar más spoiler; sin embargo, deseo resaltar que es interesante ver como esta joven de alguna manera mantenía creo que hasta sin saberlo parte de las lecciones recibidas en lo profundo de su ser.
Por otra parte, la animación es a lo que ya venimos acostumbrados tras ver en la Guerra de los Clones o El Lote Malo, pero esta vez en mi caso muy particular y estoy segura de que también a otros lo corto de cada capítulo nos dejó con ganas de más, con ganas de que hubieran profundizado más en las historias de estos dos personajes, lo que a su vez nos permitirá llenar un poco más los vacíos de lo que ocurrió en algunos momentos
Terminando, si bien es cierto que sus capítulos son muy cortos y una de las dos historias quedo como floja, sin duda alguna es una opción para mantenerse delante de la pantalla y sobre todo al ver como los años van pasando por estos personajes, así que si como yo eres fan de Star Wars esta serie en su primera temporada te gustará. ¿y tú ya la viste?
