After Sherry secures a job transfer at a car manufacturer, 12-year-old Dre Parker and his widowed mother Sherry are leaving Detroit to travel to Beijing. Dre visits a nearby park, where he notices a young violinist named Meiying, who returns his admiration. However, a 14-year-old Chinese boy named Cheng, a rebellious Kung Fu prodigy whose family is friends with Meiying's, harbors a grudge against Dre and keeps them apart by brutally attacking, teasing, and bullying Dre whenever he has the opportunity (possibly because of racism).
Dre enrages Cheng and his group by throwing a pail of unclean water over them after a school field trip to the Forbidden City. They pursue him until they corner him in a backstreet alley, where they violently beat him until he is saved by Mr. Han, the maintenance worker, who fends off the lads and exposes himself to be a Kung Fu master.
Mr. Han uses Ancient Chinese medicine methods of fire cupping to heal Dre's injuries while explaining that Cheng and his friends are not inherently bad, but have been made that way by their teacher Master Li, who teaches his students to show "no mercy" to their enemies. Dre is intrigued and asks Mr. Han if he can teach him Kung Fu. Mr. Han refuses and instead takes him to the Fighting Dragon studio to meet Li and make amends.

Mr. Han or Dre are challenged to a battle with Cheng by Li, who violently rejects the peace offer. Mr. Han, on the other hand, proposes that Dre compete one-on-one against Li's students at the upcoming open Kung Fu tournament, and that his students leave Dre alone to train for the tournament.Li reluctantly agrees to the stipulations on the condition that Dre attends the tournament, telling them that if they do not, he will harm them.
Mr. Han promises to teach Dre Kung Fu and starts training him by stressing motions that may be used to everyday life. He expresses that the fundamental keys to learning the martial art are peace and maturity, not punches and power. He teaches it to Dre by having him do repetitive actions with his jacket, which helps him establish muscle memory. In the Wudang Mountains, Han leads Dre to a Taoist shrine.

Dre sees a woman make a cobra reflect her movements and then drinks water from an ancient Taoist well there. Mr. Han offers Dre a day off after weeks of arduous and exhausting training. Dre visits Meiying and convinces her to skip school for a day of fun. She's running late for a violin audition that was unexpectedly moved up a day. As a result, her parents label Dre as a terrible influence and ban her from visiting him again.
Dre goes to see Mr. Han, but he finds him intoxicated and despondent, having smashed the automobile he was working on. Mr. Han recounts to Dre, sobbing, that he crashed the identical automobile years before, killing his wife and 10-year-old son in the process. Every year, he fixes the car but smashes it to remind himself of what happened; this motivates Dre to train harder in order to assist his teacher in overcoming his trauma and moving on from the incident. Mr. Han helps Dre write and recite a Mandarin note of apology to Meiying's father, who accepts Dre's gift and apology and promises that Meiying will attend the tournament to support Dre.
At the tournament, the insecure Dre takes a long time to catch up to his opponents, but he finally starts beating them and goes to the semi-finals. Cheng follows suit, dispatching his opponents with ferocity. Dre then defeats Master Li's students, prompting Li to instruct one of his students, Liang, to hurt Dre in the semi-finals.
Liang grudgingly does so by striking Dre's leg with a series of crushing punches, resulting in an immediate disqualification. Dre advances to the final against Cheng, but he only has a few minutes to return to the ring before Cheng takes the title by default. Dre begs Mr. Han to use the fire cupping method to heal his leg.
Dre takes a 2-to-1 lead in the match as it bounces back and forth. Cheng assaults Dre's damaged leg with a strong kick under Li's orders, forcing Dre to lose his footing. Dre struggles to get up but manages to get up and uses the snake posture used by the woman in the temple, with the next point determining the champion. Cheng alters his method and charges at Dre, who flips and catches Cheng in mid-air with a kick to the head, causing him to cry on the ground and Dre to win the competition as well as Cheng's and his classmates' admiration.

Cheng presents Dre with the trophy and all of the Fighting Dragon students bow down to Mr. Han in respect, accepting him as their new master, leaving Li defeated. Dre accepts the trophy from Cheng, and all of the Fighting Dragon pupils bow down in respect to Mr. Han, accepting him as their new master, leaving Li beaten.
PERSONAL VIEW
I learnt that we can get our own healings by helping people getting the best out of them.
Mr. Han was able to overcome the blames he had carried for the death of his family just by helping Dre Parker become fearless in anything he does.
"OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS NOT THAT WE ARE INADEQUATE, OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS THAT WE ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE".
Thanks Guys! Hope You Did Enjoy The Movie.
