Normally, guys, I don't do this. I mean I don't watch anime or cartoons because I was under the illusion that these kinds of entertainment are for children. But lately, I find myself craving some animes, maybe it could be because of the conservation had with my buddy where he described animes as something phenomenal and very interesting. So I decided it wouldn't be that bad after all. And guys, please note that the illusion that cartoons and animes are only for kids is just total BULLSHIT. Anyone can watch CARTOONS AND ANIME.
Then I went ahead to look for some interesting anime to watch on Netflix. At first, I didn't know which to pick so I just went for the one on the trending list which happens to be ENTERGALATIC.
ENTERGALATIC is an anime focused on the contemporary time of doing things, I love how everything was up to date, with the music, storyline, and gadgets which I know probably sounds weird but that's me, I pay attention to all these things. The anime is focused on the talented artist named Jabari, who started by showing his talent on the street through his graffiti designs of a comic character called Mr. Rager. This design of his landed him a cool job at a comic company where he's bestowed the job to bring Mr. Rager to life as a comic series.
What got me hooked on this series was how the producer who happens to be an American rapper with name Kid Cudi, did a fantastic job of describing the struggle of youthfulness, especially for persons within the age bracket of 20 - 35, how we struggle to find true love and also keep it and even the hustle of trying to build a successful career as well.
This I relate to cause I'm currently at that stage. Now I know how it feels to strive daily for your survival while hoping to find true love as well. So that's why the character Jabari, I felt this guy was telling my story.
Another drama that the producer brought into the story is how one could find true love and still fuck it up because of his past. That line was dope, I began to see that Jabari was just like every human being trying to make it in a world filled with adversity. It's even more hilarious how he makes use of his blunt regularly for his daily inspiration and motivation to keep going. I must say Kid Cudi did a wonderful job with this anime, he didn't make it feel too super-ordinary but just cool and easygoing.
And when true love came, damn it was good.
Jabari and Meadow did it all, they had the time of their life. Starting, how they met was truly romantic, I would not say much, but you should go and watch it cause I hate being a spoiler.
Their love story shows that true love is all about finding that person that makes you will safe, special, and comfortable. And most of all, love can find us when we least expect it. Another which spiced up their relationship was the fact that they were neighbors which meant it was close to impossible for them to avoid one another whenever they had an issue.
A scene that will always stick with me is how they both burnt blunts while brushing their teeth and at the same time passed it to one another.
If that isn't love, tell me what is.
Check out ENTERGALATIC guys, you wouldn't regret it.
