There are always fun things to do at home and if you have some free time watching a movie is a good option. If you like the psychological suspense genre, "The Woman in the Window" is an alternative. I invite you to read the following lines to see what it is about, but I will try not to make spoilers because I don't like to ruin the viewer's experience.
"The Woman in the Window" is based on the story of a woman who suffers from agoraphobia (fear of being in open places) because of this Anna (Amy Adams) does all her life inside her house. The funny is that Anna is a child psychologist which leads us to think that she has the necessary tools to identify and overcome this phobia. Throughout the film as a viewer, you wonder what caused this fear, but you don't know if you will have an answer to this question. Perhaps there are several psychological manifestations of this woman.

For Anna, there is no awareness of the passage of time. The night is confused with the day because between medication to prevent panic attacks, and alcohol she falls into states of drowsiness frequently. When Anna is awake, her contact with the world is through the telephone and her living room window, through which she watches her neighbors' lives go. However, a family (the Russells) is moving into the building across the street from her house, and she carefully observes their daily routines.

"The Woman in the Window" is a film that you must watch with a lot of patience and pay attention to detail to understand the events that Anna experiences. In my particular opinion, the music and lighting play a fundamental role since in Anna's moments of lucidity the atmosphere of the house is clearer for her taciturn states. Many times we will see Anna in complete solitude but also contact with her tenant and her neighbors the Russells (Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore).

For me, "The Woman in the Window" was a deja vu of another recently seen film only with a change of setting. However, I invite you to discover the world of this agoraphobic named Anna Fox.
