"How long are we going to keep walking?" Brielle, Ariana close friend ask as they both walk down the street which lead to the school building.
"Just a little bit more and we will be there" Ariana urge, pulling both their luggage since Brielle finds it hard to do.
"You should have listen to me when I told you not to put on those heels. You think Military school is like any other school?" Ariana demand as she went back to pull her friend.
"It isn't like any other school but I wanted to look attractive on our first day. I heard that the soldiers here are hot and I'm sure that I will get myself a guy before I graduate"
" Lucky you" Ariana tease pulling her forward.
"Argh! Easy, okay! I know that you are only like this because of Peter. Isn't he the reason you enrol in this school knowing that a nerd like yourself won't last long" Brielle told her.
"Just as you are crazy about those military guys, I'm also crazy about Peter and I don't care if I don't stay long since I know that Peter will take care of me" Ariana reply, grinning like a fool.
"Speaking about Military guys. There is this hottie that have been following us for a while now" Brielle said and Ariana look behind them to see a very handsome man, probably In his late twenties, dress in black which even made him more attractive, slowly walking behind them.
"Isn't he so hot? I wonder if he's a recruit like us or if he's one of the soldiers. I will like to bang him" Brielle confide.
"You are disgusting, Brielle. You don't even know his name, he might be a killer or worse" Ariana said.
"He isn't. Have been watching him for a while now and the way he looks at me...I can tell he's attracted to me"
"How sure are you about that?" Ariana ask.
"Watch this. If I take a few step forward, I bet his eyes will be train on me, you can confirm for me" Brielle said, taking some step forward.
Ariana stare at the man in black, expecting his gaze to be on Brielle but surprisingly, he is starring at her.
Maybe it's because she's looking at him...she thought, looking away from him and when she looks at him again, he still starring at her, a glimpse of interest on his face.
Ariana fix her eyeglass on properly and pulling their luggage, she went after Brielle who is still shaking her @ss provocatively, trying to prove a point.
"Told you he's looking at me" Brielle said with total assurance and Ariana nod in reply.
"Can we just go fast. We need to be with everyone before four" everyone being the new recruits just like them.
Somehow, Ariana can still feel his gaze on her and each time she look back, it's to see him starring at her and not Brielle.
"Stop looking or you will scare him off" Brielle chastise.
Luckily for Ariana, a car stop beside him and she watch him get into it before it drive past them.
With him gone, she can breathe again though she wonder why she's affected by him, a guy she knows nothing about.
They made it to the others on time and within the crowd, she spot Peter with some guys and immediately went to join him.
"I thought you two weren't going to make it" Peter said.
"If it isn't for Brielle, we would have made it here on time" Ariana said, sending a look at her friend.
"What? You can't possibly expect me to walk fast in this" Brielle said starring at her heels.
"No one told you to wear it" Peter counter.
"She did it to attract the soldiers, the more handsome one" Ariana said and Peter laugh.
"A little heads up. The few soldiers have seen just now are in the least bit attractive. Except you want an old looking dude as a boyfriend" Peter tease.
Ariana laugh.
"Laugh all you want, you two jerks! I'm going off to mingle with other people" Brielle said, leaving their side and failing to see the sad expression that briefly cross Peter face.
"What's going on? Where is the instructor?" Ariana ask, earning his attention.
"None of them have shown up. I think they want everyone to be here first"
"Then they might as well give us something to drink. I'm thirty" Ariana said, fanning herself with her hand.
"Might as well have this, I knew you would be thirsty which is why I brought it with me" Peter said, handing her his bottle.
"Nice one bestie" Ariana grin, lightly touching his head as she's always done.
At that moment, she felt that sick feeling of being watch just like when the guy In black was watching her.
Ariana look around and there he is on the second floor of the building watching her.
"Is something wrong?" Peter ask on seeing the serious look on her face.
"No. It's just that I saw Brielle admirer" Ariana said quickly.
"Who?" Peter ask, very interested in knowing who this guy is.
"It's no..."
"Hello Everyone" A man dress in a white short sleeve polo couple with army pants call out to everyone just as someone drive in a water truck, halting the car behind the guy addressing them.
"You must all be tired and stress and you need water, right?" The soldier ask as everyone chorus a yes.
"Then I might as well give you a big chunk of water" he said, climbing the truck ladder which leads to the top of the tank.
He pull out the pipe and open the water to pour it down on them.
The force of the water got a few of them falling on their butt, including Ariana whose eyeglass slip off while the water kept lashing at them.
"Why aren't you guys drinking? Is it too much?" The soldier demand,increasing the water.
"Hold onto yourself and form a circle, everyone!" Ariana yell knowing that by doing that, they will be able to stand against the force of the water.
"I will say that I'm quite impress by this strategy. During my own time, we didn't think of this and ended up in total mess" The soldier admit, switching off the pipe.
"Anyway, I am first sergeant Lee and I will be your drill instructor for the eight weeks you will be in training" The soldier said, introducing himself.
"Why will a maniac like you be our instructor!" Brielle yell at him from where she stood, dripping wet.
"That's because I'm a maniac and it's only a maniac that will be able to give you hell during your eight weeks in training?" Lee reply.
"Whatever!"
"Not whatever, it is yes sir! You recruits are meant to answer a superior with yes sir or ma'am. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes sir!" Everyone chorus except for Brielle who glare at Lee in return.
"You all are meant to run to the last building on your right. It is your dorm and each of the room has your name plate on the front door. Find it, get change in the uniform you see in your room and meet me at the field. I'm giving you half an hour to complete this task and the one who gets there late will be a scapegoat to others. Run along!" Lee said blowing on his whistle and immediately, everyone begin to take off.
Ariana was about to do the same when she felt a pain on her right leg...she must have sprain it during crazy Lee water prank.
"Are you okay?" Peter ask.
"I am, you can go, don't worry about me" Ariana said and Peter ran off without looking back.
"Do you intend to be the scapegoat little missy?" Lee ask Ariana who shakes her head in answer.
She begin limp off, pulling at her suitcase. It's pure torture trying to walk cause it hurts like hell.
"I better give up" Ariana said, tears glistening her eyes.
Suddenly, a pair of hand wound around her waist and she is being lift off her feet.
A startle Ariana look up to see the handsome stranger from earlier. Having him this close, Ariana won't deny that he's very handsome.
"Wh...what are you doing?" Ariana demand trying to get off but he won't allow it.
"I'm taking you to the infirmary that is if you want to keep studying here" his voice came out deep and strong.
Ariana stay still in his arms while he carry her to the infirmary.
There was no doctor or nurse and so he set her down on the bed and brought out the first aid box.
"I'm fine. You don't have to worry" Ariana said, but he isn't listening.
He took hold of her leg and pull off her sneaker and stocking to inspect the sprain.
She watch him do wonders on her leg before wrapping it up with a bandage.
"If you don't stress it out tonight, it will be fine by tomorrow" He said, looking at her.
Ariana nod in answer.
He stare at her wet body and went to get her a hand towel to use it to dry off.
Ariana was drying her hair when she notice him staring again.
"Are you a soldier here or a new recruit like us?" She ask, trying to make small talk.
"Why do you ask? Do you find me intriguing as I do with you?" He ask in return.
"I don't! And...why will you be intrigue by me when it's obvious that you like my friend" Ariana said, looking away from him.
"So you think I'm attracted to your friend?" He ask slowly bringing her gaze back on him again.
She has no idea how captivating she look at that moment, something which drive the poor guy insane.
He walk towards her, resting both hands on the bed, caging her in-between.
"Why will I be attracted to your friend when you are more better than her....if only you know how much I want to kiss you right now" he admit, leaning towards her.
"I'm giving you two option. It's either you leave right now or you stay and give me a chance to be with you and let me tell you that whatever Luke Curtis sets his mind on, he never fails in getting it. Your choice" he added, giving her an ultimatum.

"Lee knows how to keep the new recruit going" a lady gazing out through the window in the instructor office said as she watch the new recruits run out of their dorms, all heading to the field.
"I doubt he knows what he's doing, I certainly would have done better" Johnathan, a fellow instructor at school said. Annoyed at Lee being chosen as the drill sergeant for the new recruit.
"That's just jealousy talking, you are angry that the captain chose Lee instead of you. You should have done better, Nathan" Caroline, one of the military nurse speak from where she's standing going through a file.
"I'm not in the mood for your jokes, Caro" Johnathan warn sternly.
"She's not joking. She's only saying the truth, if you had prove your worth then the captain would have chose you to guide the new recruit" The lady standing by the window said this time.
"Defending the captain again, Diane? You sure will since you've got a big fat crush on him, you always have" Johnathan mock earning a angry look from Diane.
"It's one thing to be angry but another for you to make fun of her feeling, apologized" Caro said to Johnathan who sneer in return.
"Let him be, Caro. I'm use to his taunts and he didn't lie when he said that I have a crush on the captain" Diane coolly admit.
"Whatever. You two gang up on me first and I won't apologize and a little advice for you Diane. I suggest you claim your man or you will end up regretting it, saw him carrying a girl in his arms today and I can tell you he is totally besotted with her" Johnathan inform and left not giving Diane a chance to ask him question.
"What girl is he talking about?" Diane ask.
"I'm not that sure since I heard the rumor on my way here. One of the female recruit was injured and so he took her to the infirmary, he even carried her in his arms " Caro replied.
"Do you know if they are still there?" Diane ask, feeling apprehensive.
<< SCHOOL INFIRMARY>>
"Aren't you going to make a choice?" Luke ask and that jolt Ariana back to present.
"What will happen if I choose to stay?" Ariana ask softly.
"Then you will have to get use to my presence. I want you and I won't stop until I get what I want" Luke said again.
"This is crazy! I don't know you, I don't even know your name so how can..."
"It's Luke, my name is Luke Curtis though everyone here address me as the Captain,but I will prefer you calling me Luke, it's gonna sound pleasant coming from you" Luke said, totally mesmerized by her.
Feeling uncomfortable by how close he is, she skillfully got out of the bed and limp towards the door.
"What if I...what if I already have a boyfriend. Will you stop...all this?" Ariana ask.
"No! And I doubt you have a boyfriend but even if you do, I'm prepared to take you from him" Luke said with determination.
"You are crazy. I'm going to my dorm and don't even think of carrying me, I will get there myself" Ariana told him, reeling from his revelation.
As soon as she open the door, he was by her side, lifting her into his arms.
"I told you I don't want you carrying me!" Ariana protest, trying to get off.
"If you don't stay still, I'm going to take you back to the infirmary and kiss you senseless....you wouldn't want that right?" He ask and on seeing the naughty look on his face, she stay still in his arms.
"That's much better. I suggest you start getting use to me since you will be mine soon" Luke tells her as he left the infirmary with her.
Diane arrive at the infirmary to see them and an overwhelming rush of jealousy and anger engulf her.

"This is crazy! You really want us to run back to the school entrance and that we should do that for three hours?" Brielle is the one to ask this question, ignoring Peter attempt for her to stop.
"It's the first task I'm giving you all. If you think it's too much, then you can go back to the dorm and pack your things" Lee told them, Immediately everyone got into action.
"I'm tempted to go back to the dorm to get my things" Brielle said as she run along side Peter and the others.
"By the way, where's Ariana?" Brielle ask.
"That's right, I haven't seen her since earlier. Maybe she went off to do something " Peter reply. Setting aside Ariana issue, he concentrate on getting Brielle to run.
Lee was waiting for the first batch of student on their first lap when a car turn up.
He watch as a girl thoroughly drape in designer brand got out of the car while her driver brings out her suitcase.
"Careful with it you fool! Do you know how expensive that thing is?" The girl yell at the driver who keeps apologizing.
"Seems like there's a spoilt child who will need a hard training " Lee murmur to himself as the girl walk up to him.
"Hey you! Where is the owner, I'd like to speak to him?" The rude girl demand.
"May I ask why?"
"That's because I have a gift to give to him. It's from my father. Senator Alfred not that a third rate soldier like you will know him " she said arrogantly.
By now the other students were already coming back and they stay back to watch the spectacle going on.
"Your right. I don't know him and I don't give a damn, but do tell me one thing. Are you one of the new recruits?" Lee ask her.
"I am. Can't you see my luggage with...."
"I need some help here" Immediately Lee calls out, two soldier show up, seizing the rude girl.
"What are you doing? Let go of me! How dare you rough handle me? Do you know who I am? My father will kill you if he knows you are doing this!" The rude girl yell but Lee ignore her.
"Let her be a form of warning to anyone who thinks their father wealth will enable them to do whatever they want. This is the US Army and as long as you are here, you are just a common nobody. Do I make myself clear?" He yell and everyone reply with a YES SIR
"Take her to the big bath, let her be my first scapegoat to everyone" he said to the soldiers who took the rude girl away.
<< EVENING. ~ FEMALE DORM >>
Ariana was alone in her dorm thinking about what the captain said.
Does he really mean it or it's just a joke he's playing on a gullible recruit?
Ariana didn't get the chance to think further cause a tired Brielle walk in.
"You won't believe what that Lee guy made us do? I feel like dying" she said, fanning her face with her hand.
"Wish I was there with you" Ariana said slowly.
"That's right! You didn't return after....what happen to your leg?" Brielle ask as she got out of her seat to kneel in front of her friend.
"I just sprain it a little. Have been told by the captain to stay in until tomorrow" Ariana said.
"That's good. Lucky you though, wish I was the one with the sprain" Brielle said.
"Anyway, you know the daughter of the senator Alfred, Kate Alfred. Well she came late and she even have the guts to act high and mighty, but Lee the slave driver give her what she deserve. I heard she's been thrown into the big bath"
"And what's the big bath?" Ariana ask.
"It's some kind of well, filled with cold water. I'm sure she must be freezing like a goddess in there. I just hope they don't bring her to our room " Brielle said just as the door burst open and a girl, soaking wet walk in.
"Seems like we will be sharing the room with her" Ariana mutter, laughing at a shock Brielle.
Kate walk in, ignoring the two girls present in the room. She stare at the three beds in the room.
One was occupied by the Nerdie one while two were left open.
She went straight to the bed Brielle had taken for herself and lay on it.
"Get off my bed!" Brielle snap as she pull Kate out of it.
"Are you going to piss me off too? Have already had enough today from that stupid guy, I don't want to deal with you" Kate snap in return, wanting to sleep on Brielle's bed, but Brielle pull her away.
Trying to prevent a fight from ensuing. Ariana went to Brielle to talk to her, but while trying to pull free from Brielle's hold, Kate mistakenly hit Ariana.
"Did you just hit my friend? You are so f**king dead " Brielle scream as she pull Kate's hair and Kate did the same in return.
Kate and Brielle were fighting like crazy while Ariana did her best to stop them and that was how the dorm coordinator met them before taking the three of them to the punishment room.
After hours of thinking, Diane decide to go see Luke herself. But a soldier walk in, saluting her.
"At ease, What's the problem?" Diane ask.
"Three female recruits were caught fighting in their dorm and we've brought them to you for punishment since you are in charge" The female soldier said.
"Alright. Bring them in" Diane instruct and immediately, three girls were walk into the room. Diane recognized one as the girl Luke was with earlier.
"I heard you three were fighting?" Diane begin, her gaze centered on Ariana alone.
"She started it!" Brielle said.
"You started it!" Kate return.
"I wasn't fighting, I was only trying to stop them" Ariana added, but Diane ignore their explanation.
"The military academy is a place of ordinance and good discipline. I don't know if your parents didn't teach you well at home, but right in...."
"Isn't it a bit too much calling our parent?" Brielle demand and Diane walk towards her, kicking her hard on the leg.
"No one talk when I talk, understand?!" Diane yell and Brielle gave a nod, clutching her leg.
"Keep them at the corridor while I decide what to do with them" Diane said to the soldier who brought them in.
Diane notice Ariana limp, but she didn't give a damn.
She is so pissed. Not at the situation on ground, but at Luke for falling for a girl who is no match for her, Diane thought.
"Permission to come in, Ma'am" Lee said as he stands at the doorway.
"Permission granted" Diane said and Lee walk into her office.
"I brought a message for you from the captain. He heard about the recent fight at the female dorm and told me to tell you to let the three girls go" Lee inform.
"Why? Cause his girl crush is one of them... Tell him that this matter concerns me and I will handle it myself" Diane said, dismissing Lee who give a salute before leaving the room.
"I won't let you interfere in this, Luke" Diane said with fierce determination.
Out at the corridor Ariana, Brielle and Kate were told to kneel while waiting for their punishment.
Ariana could feel her leg throb. She was on the verge of getting up due to the pain when she sees him.
"Captain!" The female soldier guarding them gave a salute which he ignore, his gaze train only on Ariana.
"I thought I told you not to strain your leg" Luke said, starring down at her.
Before she can reply, he pull her up by the waist, lift her into his arms, right in front of everyone watching, including Diane.
