"I'm fine now, you can put me down" Ariana said when Luke got to her room, but he ignored her.
"Where's your bed?"
She point at it and immediately he took her straight there and sit her on it, then he went ahead to take off her shoe to scrutinize her foot.
"You don't have..."
"Why did you have to get into a fight? I made it clear to you not to stress your foot" He said softly, trying to hold his anger In.
"Brielle and Kate got into a fight and I just can't stand by without doing something " Ariana reply wincing when he touch a place that hurt on her foot.
"Well you should have think about yourself. Do you know what will happen to you if you keep straining that foot, you won't be able to walk for the rest of your life!" He yell at a soft tone.
"Then that will be good since I won't be attractive to you anymore!" Ariana retaliate, hoping to strike a point, but instead, Luke smile and stood up, his large frame towering over her.
"If you think that, you are wrong. I will admit that it will hurt if you lose your leg, but that won't stop me from wanting you. Like I told you earlier, you are mine and no one else" Luke declare, kissing her on the cheek.
"I will be leaving now and don't you dare do anything to strain your leg or you will be sleeping in my room tonight" he warn before leaving.
Ariana didn't realize that until he left, she was holding her breath. She took in a deep breath, trying to calm her racing pulse when Kate and Brielle walk in.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry we got into a fight and put you in trouble" Brielle apologized, joining her on the bed.
"It's okay. Let's just try to get along" Ariana suggest, starring at Kate.
"Fine. I will agree to be friends with you if you tell me how you manage to seduce the captain within a day?" Kate demand, sounding insulting.
"What do you mean by seduce? She isn't a slut like you" Brielle return smoothly.
"I doubt that. Have often heard about Captain Luke from my father and he's someone who would never butt into other business, but our beauty here have manage to snare him making him forget every other thing. So, if you tell me how you seduce the captain, I will agree to be friends with people like you" Kate said bitchingly before leaving the room to take a shower.
"She's such a bitch! I really want to pull out her hair again" Brielle let out angrily.
"Just let her be, she's not worth it"
"Tell me how you manage to snatch that guy and he's the f**king captain! How did you do it?" Brielle ask in excitement.
"I didn't really do much" Ariana begin, telling her everything that took place that day.
"To think I thought he was looking at me when it's you he's interested in, so romantic" Brielle said with sheer pleasure.
"But you've got to watch out. I overheard that that bitchy soldier from earlier is also interested in him, she's been eyeing him for a very long time" Brielle added, referring to Diane.
"Seems like you've made an enemy on your first day in school"
<< CAPTAIN OFFICE >>
"Not for once have you ever undermine my authority, but you did that today and all because of that girl. What has gotten into you, Luke?" Demand Diane as she stands in front of Luke desk, glaring down at him.
"So you aren't going to say a thing? How did she do it? How is she able to have you wrap around her finger that easily? I might just go and ask her" Diane offer, turning to leave, but the sudden bang on the table made her stop.
"You will do no such thing Diane! I remember giving you an order to let the three girls go, but you ignored it. If I'm to punish someone here that will be you!"
" But they...."
"Enough! What right do you have in questioning my actions?. Let me remind you that when it comes to rank and authority, I am above you even if we are friends, so keep that in mind always, you are dismiss" Luke said and as protocol demand, she did a salute before leaving his office almost bumping into Lee.
"Good afternoon sir!" Lee greet.
"At ease, good afternoon" Luke reply.
"I heard you were calling for me sir?"
"I need to know the training scheme you have table down for the new recruits" Luke said as Lee gave a brief explanation.
"I plan on surprising the new recruit tonight" Lee inform.
"Tell me about this surprise"
<< MIDNIGHT >>
Suffering from a stomach ache, Ariana had payed visits to the restroom a couple of times, she was heading back to her room when two female soldiers came out of nowhere, seizing her by the arm.
"What did I do this time?" Ariana ask.
"You have to come with us" one of the soldier said as they gently walk Ariana down the hall.
Brielle was sleeping like a log when she heard the alarm and just like the other students in the dorm, she rush out to know what's going on.
"I am giving you ten minutes to get dressed and form a queue on the field" a female soldier said to them all.
"But it's midnight" one of the girls blurt out.
"Which is why I'm giving you the grace of ten minutes to get dress and meet me at the field. If you are late, you can count yourself out of this school" the soldier said and immediately, they rush back to their respective room to get dress.
Brielle was still changing her clothe when she took pity on a sleeping Kate to wake her up, but Kate ignore her.
"I tried to wake you" Brielle said before leaving the room and as soon as Kate heard the door, she sit up, smiling to herself.
<< FIELD >>
"Disappointing!" Lee yell starring at the new recruits.
Some are in their uniform but untidy. Some didn't even bother to put on their uniform and some are just joining the queue when it's already past ten minutes.
"Do you know why I sprang this wake up call on you all?" Lee ask, walking to and fro.
"It's to test you. To know which one of you will get to a war front in time with their weapons intact, but you are all disappointing"
"But sir, it's our first time going through a situation like this. If we'd had a heads up then we might have done better" Evan was the one to speak and though he had on his uniform, his hair was a mess.
"Tell me this. Do an enemy give you a heads-up before they attack?" Lee ask and Evan shakes his head.
"You were all given ten minutes. Back in my time, we were given five and yet you dare run your mouth?"
"I'm sorry sir!" Evan apologized.
"You will be use as a scapegoat for everyone to learn from, fall out!" Lee yell and slowly, Evan march out.
Suddenly wanting to protect Evan, Brielle also fall out of line, marching towards Lee.
"Permission to speak, sir"
"Granted"
"Rather than to use him while not use a better scapegoat" Brielle suggest.
"What do you mean?"
"Kate Hamster is still in her room "
<< BACK AT THE DORM >>
Kate is sleeping when the door open and two female soldier walk in.
"Get up!" One of them order and Kate sit up slowly taking her time before getting off the bed.
"Didn't you know that all recruit are meant to be at the field"
"I do know and even my room mate woke me up, but how do you expect me to go to the field dress in this short robe?" Kate question.
"Then you might as well take it off and put on your uniform" Lee said, walking into the room.
Just the person have been waiting for... Kate thought as she fix her hair, trying to look pretty.
If Ariana can seduce the captain then she can definitely seduce the instructor and have him in her palm....Kate thought.
"Since you want me to take it off, then I will" Kate said pulling off the robe in front of him.
No man sees her body without wanting it and Lee won't be an option....she thought as made a provocative pose.
She watch Lee walk towards her and picking up her uniform, he toss it on her face.
"You can't sway me with that little bre@st and @ss of yours. Have seen a lot of girls without their uniform on and by far, you are the worst" he said to her face.
"Put on your clothe before I'm tempted to showing you my naked body and let me tell you that you will end up drooling over it" Lee added before leaving the room.
"Jerk!" Kate yell after him, ignoring the female soldiers covertly laughing at her.
While the new recruit are going through a hard training on the field.
Ariana let out a sigh as she sleeps in comfort on the huge bed.
She didn't know why the soldiers brought her here and when she ask, they only told her to get some rest and that's what she's going to do.
She's on the verge of falling into a restful sleep when the bed gives way and someone got in behind her.
Slowly she turn and there is Luke on the bed with her.
"Why are you here?" She ask, sitting up.
"Why can't I be in my room?" Luke question in return, still lying back.
"Your room? But the soldiers told me to get some rest and..."
"I told them to bring you here"
"You did! Why?"
"What do you think? " Luke ask. A smile splaying on his lips.
Ariana remember the threat he made earlier about sleeping in his room and immediately, she tried to get off, but Luke pull her back to bed and into his arms.
"If you plan on doing something bad to me then I'm going to scream for help" Ariana said, entrap in his arms.
"I do plan on doing something bad. Infact, I plan on having my wicked way with you, but you'll be moaning out my name instead of screaming for help" he said seductively, getting on top of her.
"You are mine, Ariana. Mine" he whisper into her ear and begin to trail kisses down her neck.....

<< CAPTAIN'S ROOM >>
As her lips mingle with that of the captain, Ariana wonder why she's letting him have his way.
Maybe it's because he knows how to kiss or because she has never been kiss this way before, but it has to be put to an end.
She is in love with Peter and he is the only guy she should allow to kiss her and there is instructor Diane.
Ariana could guess that the reason instructor Diane had been mean to her earlier is because she's interested in the captain as well.
The thought of Diane and Peter got her pushing against the captain chest, putting an abrupt end to their kiss.
"I don't want this" Ariana said softly and that got Luke getting off of her.
He lay beside her, watching her without saying a word.
Nervous at his scrutiny, she tried to leave, but he hold onto her hand.
"Relax, I'm not going to do anything. I brought you here so I can take care of you. Try to get some sleep, princess" Luke said, drawing her close, but Ariana pull away from him.
"I think you are being unfair here" She said softly, sitting up.
"Unfair?"
"Yes! You are being unfair by pushing your attention on me and by ignoring a woman who feels something I'll probably never in a million years feel for you" she lash out.
"Can you make things better for me to understand" Luke said, sitting up as well.
"I don't want this! I made it clear to you, but you won't listen and you keep forcing your attention on me" she let out a sigh, trying to fight back the nervous flutter coursing through her at that moment. "Because of you, I'm being called easy since they think that I seduce you just to have a easy life in school and there's instructor Diane, she will never have pick on me if it isn't for you"
"Listen to me princess..."
"Stop calling me princess! I have a name and I have someone I'm in love with. Can't you just accept it as that and leave me alone" Ariana cut him off.
"I can't! I won't! Why watch the girl I'm crazy about go after a man who doesn't love her. The guy you claim to love is Peter, right?" He ask easily guessing her crush identity.
"Peter doesn't love you and for that reason I'm not giving you up" Luke add with fierce determination.
"Peter is in the dark about my feeling, but when I do tell him, I'm sure things will change" Ariana said with conviction.
"You are only going to get hurt"
"It's better than not trying at all" Ariana reply and got out of bed, walking properly on her sprain leg towards the door.
The pain on her leg has tone down a bit, but Ariana didn't notice as she slowly make her way back to the dorm.
After finding out from one of the female soldiers that everyone is on the field training. Ariana also put on her training gear and went to join them.
On getting to the field, Instructor Lee quiz her about her leg and after assuring him that she's fine, she went in search of Peter.
The sun is just rising and all the trainee are doing one or two exercise, she easily spot Brielle within some girls.
"Oh Ariana! Are you okay now?" A sweating Brielle ask as she approach her.
"I am. Do you know where Peter is?"
"Just saw him heading to the male toilet, but why are you...." Brielle stop talking the moment Ariana stride off in search of Peter.
Luckily the female toilet is located there as well so none of the instructor made an attempt to stop her since they all think she's heading there to take a leak.
Peter was on his way back to the training ground when Ariana found him.
"Ari" he call using the nickname he made for her.
"Peter, I have something to tell you" Ariana said having made up her mind.
"Do you think it's a good time for us to talk?" Peter ask, starring around them.
"This won't take long" Ariana reply wearing a serious expression.
"What's wrong?" Peter ask noticing her serious demeanor.
"I...I like you Peter"
"Tch! I like you as well, Ari" Peter said, thinking she's teasing him as always.
"I'm not teasing you Peter, I am very serious about this. I really really like you...infact I'm in love with you. Have been inlove with you ever since we were kids. I went to the same junior and senior school just to be close to you and God knows that I also followed you here as well" Ariana admit, shocking Peter with her confession.
"Y...you are trying to mess with my head, right? I'm not falling for it" Peter said, laughing nervously.
"It's not a joke, I mean it Peter. I have feelings for you and..."
"But we are friends"
"We are. But I want to be more than a friend to you" Ariana said, taking hold of his hand, he pull away.
"I'm sorry Ari, but I don't feel the same way. I have only ever thought of you as a friend and that will never change" Peter said, shattering her heart to a million pieces.
"Don't I...even have a teeny weeny chance?" Ariana ask, tears glistening her eyes.
"I will be honest with you Ari. I'm into someone else and I like her a lot " Peter admit, shattering her hope as well.
"Ari" he call gently, moving towards her but she took a step back.
"It's okay. I understand, I just wanted you to know how I feel about you that's all" She said, turning to leave, but Peter follow her.
"Do you mind giving me some alone time" she turn to him, hoping she won't cry while still having him as a audience.
Peter had no choice but to stay back, watching her go.
She's his best friend and hurting her like this hurts him as well.
Luckily for Ariana, everyone are back to their dorm and as she make way to her room, she kept wiping away her tears.
She took the few step leading to the second floor, halting halfway when she sees Luke.
His gaze is train on his watch, probably checking the time, but as soon as he sees her, she earn all his attention.
Seeing the tears and without saying a word, Luke cross the distance between them to engulf her in a hug.
Maybe it's the nearness or the pity she feels coming from him that got out leaning into him, crying her heart out.
"It's okay sweetheart" he said softly, trying his best to soothe her and when the tears stop, he ask.
"Do you want me to get you anything?"
"No" Ariana said, moving out of his arms.
"You are right, I end up getting hurt. But if I had known it will hurt this much, I will never have confess to him" Ariana admit.
"What did Peter say?"
"That he's in love with someone else" Ariana reply.
"They say when a man let go of a good thing, he realize it's worth too late. Peter lost a good thing which is you and someday he will regret it." he said looking very serious.
"How about you have breakfast with me" he offer.
"I'm not hungry. I will rather get some sleep" Ariana reply.
"Alright then. It's a shame you can't use your phone until the training period is over, but I can come check on you"
"You don't have to"
"You should know by now that anytime you push me away, I am more determine to get close to you and I know I might sound selfish by saying this, but I'm glad Peter is in love with someone else"
"You are the most..." The rest of her retort were left unsaid when Luke kiss her on the cheek.
"See you later, princess" smiling to himself, Luke went down the stairs while Ariana went to her dorm.
Luckily, Brielle and Kate are sleeping like a log trying to catch up on their deprive sleep.
Ariana lay on her bed thinking of what to do next and when she think of something, she finally shut her eyes trying to get some sleep as well.
<< LATER THAT DAY ~ AFTERNOON >>
Luke is going through some important paper work when Lee arrive, after his salutation, he walk towards Luke desk to place a list on it.
"What's this list?" Luke ask.
"It's the number of recruits withdrawing today"
"So this set of people can't take a bit of hard training?" Luke mock.
"More like they are use to easy things. They didn't come prepared for the harsh life " Lee chip in and they both smile.
Luke pick up the list, going through the ten recruit name until he spots a familiar name.
"What's Ariana Brown name doing in here?" Luke ask.
"She came to see me an hour ago wanting to withdraw as well" Lee inform.
"Where's she?" Luke demand.
"Probably with the other students waiting for the bus to take them off the..." Lee words were left hanging as Luke leaves the room in a rush.
<< DORM >>
"Must you really go, Can't you just stay?" Brielle ask Ariana who put the last of her things into her suitcase.
"I have to, I can't stay" reply Ariana.
"Why? Is it because Peter reject you?"
"How do you know that?"
"I followed you earlier and I overheard your conversation with him. It's his loss for being in love with someone else, if someone has to leave then it has to be him" Brielle said.
"Remember I followed Peter here. Being a soldier is his dream and so, I should be the one to leave" Ariana said.
" But still...."
"It's okay, Brielle. I will be fine, just take care of yourself" Ariana cut in, hugging an upset Brielle before leaving the room.
"Now that she's gone, you don't mind me using her bed?" Kate ask from where she is sitting.
"Is that all you can think of? A teammate of yours is leaving and all you can think of is her bed?" Brielle yell at her.
"What do you want me to do? She has made up her mind and to be honest, she's a fool for choosing to leave because a guy rejected her when she clearly has someone better swooning over her" Kate snap, referring to the captain.
Ariana walk out of the female dorm to see Luke on his way.
"So it's true, you are leaving" He halt in front of her, starring at her suitcase.
"It's only right that I do. It was nice knowing you captain Luke"
"I don't want your goodbye" he said tersely.
"Let me at least say goodbye. You've been nice to me and...."
"To hell with being nice! How do you expect me to say goodbye when all I want is to have you by my side" He demand hotly.
"I can't let you go" he added gently and the bus taking her and the other nine recruit arrive.
"My ride is here" Ariana said choosing not to give a reply as she pick up her suitcase, walking past him.
Suddenly her suitcase is pluck out of her hand as Luke lift her over his shoulder, ignoring her protest as he made way to the field where he's sure is empty.
"What are you doing? I need to be on that bus" she said as he set her down.
"I don't want you on that bus. Is Peter all you can think of? Isn't your career important to you? Why leave because of him?" He yell at her.
"There's nothing for me to stay here for! The only reason I enroll in this school is because of Peter and after knowing the truth, I can't stay and don't try to stop me" Ariana said, walking around him.
"Why don't I give you a new reason to stay " Luke said suddenly and that made her stop.
"Stay for me, Ariana. Stay and give me a chance" he added gently, waiting for her reply.....
