Welcome back to the Meiji Era, in which we meet a wandering wanderer named Kenshin. Here we are told the story of this former assassin who shone for his great contributions to found the new era, where they currently live quietly and passively called "Meiji Era", on the other hand, our protagonist formerly known as Batusai the Unraveler, this renowned assassin dedicates his life to walk the paths of Japan carrying his reverse edge sword to never hurt anyone again, one day he passes by a small kendo dojo, observing that a woman named Kaoru gives classes on this style of fighting, by coincidence of fate this was in a little big trouble, this is when Kenshin saves her and they become friends. From this event is where the adventures of this incredible swordsman named Kenshin Himura begin. What adversities will our beloved wanderer have to face?

This is one of the Old School anime that I saw many years ago and that I could enjoy again recently, it is one of the best known in the world of anime and it is also very interesting in plot, development, fighting and the drawing it has, besides, I can not leave aside its animation, since, for its time, it was something exceptional and, in my opinion, it still is. This and many other characteristics place the famous "Samurai X" in my top of anime seen throughout my life, the way in which they take their time to develop the story, the emotions that we normally see are taken to another level, along with very good and interesting battles with different styles of swords.

This anime as I already mentioned, is quite old and many who belong to the same generation as me or are fans of this type of deliveries, must know it, so, if you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend it, as it is totally sublime as well as incredible. On the other hand, as usual, I will highlight what for me are the most remarkable aspects about this great and ancient work of art.

• Soundtrack: This is quite incredible, if for something old animes stand out, is because their soundtracks were totally emblematic and generate a particular type of nostalgia in the ears of the viewer, giving it a special touch, in this anime the "Soundtracks" are of that style, soft and sublime making you want to cry.

• Drawing: I highlight this aspect because, for that time, the drawing and animation of this anime was at the top, even being above many others that were in broadcast at that time, the speed, techniques and battles are very well animated, being even comparable to current anime.

Set in the emblematic Japan, in this anime we have quite colorful and good scenarios, which are set in quite symbolic places that give a greater depth to the plot and the development of the story, with roads, villages, dojos and many other places that give a deeper intrigue to the story, something incredible to appreciate.

I love these scenarios, as the characters use these environments in their fights, both to train in desolate places, as well as in combats in short places and many other things, the natural effects are also beautiful with the typical cherry trees giving a softer touch to the scenarios.

In the vast universe of "Samurai X", there is a great diversity of fighting styles, mostly swords, as well as melee and ranged ninja skills, in which they use ancient techniques from Japan, obviously, the most common is to see the skills developed through the use of the Katana or its smaller derivatives, which makes the great variety of techniques in this work of art is amazing.

The great amount of fighting techniques that exist, give a visual pleasure and a great variety of confrontations, all quite different from the previous ones, in which we will see the development of the skills of each fighter throughout the anime and this is something very important to take into account for this section.

Based on the above, I will proceed to highlight the fighting styles that I liked the most.

• Hiten Mitsurugi: It is a fighting style based on the speed and lethality of its bearer, full of swift killing techniques, within the culture of the characters, this style can be compared to the "Speed of a God", leading the bearer to overcome his limits in a great way and eliminate enemies quickly.

• Gatotsu: One of the sword techniques that I liked the most, being this one quite powerful and elegant at the same time, this one focuses on the strength of its user's legs when he adopts a semi-bent pose and throws himself fiercely against his opponent to deliver a lethal blow.

• Zanbatō: This is one of the styles of bare-knuckle combat or without sword, in which the fighter must have a great physical endurance and muscle power to hit his opponent in a forceful and efficient way.

As we already defined some of the fighting styles in this anime, it's time to talk about one of the things I like the most about it, which are of course "The Combats", since they have a great structure, which improve one after another as you get deeper into the story, which includes new styles to give a greater variety to the battles and not just summarized in a confrontation between swordsmen.

For Samurai X, it is normal to see people with skills far above a normal person and I love the fact that, our protagonist does not fight to the death against enemies who clearly want to kill him or take him to a point of no return in a fight, since, the goal of many is for this one to kill again. It's thanks to all of that that, you can observe quite deep conversations within the fights themselves, where devotion, determination, discipline and faith, are fundamental to keep the spirit on and keep fighting.

Again, we start what would be my favorite section in all my reviews, I know I always comment on it, however, it is the part that I am most excited to write, since, thanks to the characters is that the story develops, so, it's time where I can finally talk about the characters that, in my opinion were the most prominent in this story.

• Kenshin Himura: Previously known as Batusai the Unleasher, this man is at the beginning of the series a quite calm, polite and protective person, still having all his killing skills perfected to the highest level, Kenshin decides to leave the path of killing after the war in order to preach peace and the need to leave the swords, this character is included in a lot of conflicts thanks to his reputation, it is here where he will be involved in different situations where he must decide whether to continue with his faith or surrender to the killing. Will Kenshin manage to remain such a good person?

• Sanosuke Sagara: An orphan boy coming from a troop which he took in and taught the work of the trade and the fight, this character has quite a big intrigue and gives off a great desire to move forward and become stronger, in the company of Kenshin, this was a former enemy of our beloved protagonist until he defeats him without killing him. Sanosuke wishes to fight with his fists carrying the same desires of Kenshin and showing that everyone has a kind side. Will Sanosuke be able to keep his promise?

• Makoto Sishio: In my opinion one of the best enemies in the world of anime, being quite strong even with burns that for anyone would be deadly, this was also a man of renown in the war for the liberation of Japan, when he returns years later is known as a terrorist, which wants the killing and war, return the country to what it was before, a world full of chaos. With abilities very different from those of a common swordsman, he uses the heat of his body to generate a burning fire in his sword and perform all kinds of incredible techniques. Will this demon be able to fulfill his plans?

We come to the end of another amazing post, which I wanted to present you some time ago, since I have previously brought you post about the Netflix original Samurai X movies that, although they are pretty good, nothing like watching the original installment on which it was based. Therefore, if you are anime fans like me and love this kind of stories, I hope you watch it if you still don't, I assure you that you will be delighted with this anime that I saw around the 90's.

Bienvenidos nuevamente a la Era Meiji, en la cual nos encontramos con un vagabundo ambulante llamado Kenshin. Aquí nos narran la historia de este antiguo asesino el cual brillo por sus grandes aportes para fundar la nueva era, donde actualmente viven tranquila y pasivamente llamada "Era Meiji", por otro lado, nuestro protagonista anteriormente conocido como Batusai el Destajador, este asesino de renombre dedica su vida a caminar los senderos del Japón portando su espada de filo invertido para nunca volver a hacerle daño a nadie, un día este pasa por un pequeño dojo de kendo, observando que una mujer llamada Kaoru da clases sobre este estilo de lucha, por coincidencias del destino esta estaba en un pequeño gran aprieto, es aquí cuando Kenshin la salva y se vuelven amigos. A partir de este suceso es donde empiezan las aventuras de este increíble espadachín llamado Kenshin Himura. ¿A qué adversidades tendrá que enfrentar nuestro querido vagabundo?

Este es uno de los animes Old School que vi hace muchos años y que pude disfrutar nuevamente hace poco, es uno de los más conocidos dentro del mundo del anime y además es muy interesante tanto en trama, desarrollo, combates y el dibujo que posee, ademas, no puedo dejar de lado su animación, ya que, para su tiempo, era algo excepcional y que, en mi opinión lo sigue siendo. Esta y muchas otras características posicionan Al famoso “Samurái X” en mi top de animes vistos a lo largo de mi vida, la forma en la que se toman su tiempo para desarrollar la historia, las emociones que normalmente vemos son llevadas a otro nivel, junto a batallas muy buenas e interesantes con diferentes estilos de espadas.

Este anime como ya comenté, es bastante antiguo y muchos que pertenezcan a la misma generación que yo o sean fans de este tipo de entregas, lo deben conocer, así que, si aún no lo han visto, lo recomiendo en gran medida, ya que es totalmente sublime a la vez que increíble. Por otro lado, como ya es costumbre, destacaré lo que para mí son los aspectos más destacables sobre están grandiosa y antigua obra de arte.

• Banda Sonora: Esta es bastante increíble, si por algo se destacan los animes antiguos, es porque sus bandas sonoras eran totalmente emblemáticas y generan un tipo de nostalgia particular en los oídos del espectador, dándole un toque especial, en este anime los “Soundtracks” son de ese estilo, suaves y sublimes dando hasta ganas de llorar.

• Dibujo: Este aspecto lo destaco debido a que, para ese entonces, el dibujo y animación de este anime estaba en el top, incluso estando por encima de muchos otros que estaban en emisión en ese entonces, la velocidad, técnicas y batallas están muy bien animadas, siendo incluso comparable con animes actuales.

Situados en el emblemático Japón, en este anime tenemos escenarios bastante vistosos y buenos, los cuales son ambientados en lugares bastante simbólicos que le dan una profundidad más grande a la trama y al desarrollo de la historia, con caminos, pueblos, dojos y muchos otros lugares que les dan una intriga más profunda a la historia, algo increíble de apreciar.

Estos escenarios me encantan, ya que los personajes utilizan estos entornos en sus peleas, tanto para entrenar en sitios desolados, como también en combates en parajes cortos y muchas otras cosas, los efectos naturales también son preciosos con los típicos cerezos dándole un toque más suave a los escenarios.

En el basto universo de “Samurai X”, existe una gran diversidad de estilos de pelea, tanto de espadas mayormente, como de habilidades ninjas cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia, en el cual emplean técnicas milenarias originarias de Japón, obviamente, lo más común es ver las habilidades desarrolladas mediante el uso de la Katana o sus derivados más pequeños, lo que hace que, la gran variedad de técnicas en esta obra de arte sea asombrosa.

La gran cantidad de técnicas de pelea que existen, otorgan un placer visual y una gran variedad de enfrentamientos, todos bastante distintos a los anteriores, en los cuales veremos el desarrollo de las habilidades de cada combatiente a lo largo del anime y esto es algo muy a tener en cuenta para esta sección.

Basándome en lo dicho anteriormente, procederé a destacar los estilos de pelea que más me gustaron.

• Hiten Mitsurugi: Es un estilo de combate basado en la velocidad y letalidad de su portador, lleno de técnicas asesinas veloces, dentro de la cultura de los personajes, este estilo se puede comparar a la "Velocidad de un Dios", llevando al portador a superar sus límites de gran forma y eliminar a los enemigos rápidamente.

• Gatotsu: Una de las técnicas de espada que más me gusto, siendo esta bastante potente y elegante a la vez, este se centra en la fuerza de las piernas de su usuario cuando adopta una pose semi inclinada y se lanza ferozmente contra su oponente para asestar un golpe letal.

• Zanbatō: Este es uno de los estilos de combate a puño limpio o sea sin espada, en el cual el combatiente debe tener una gran resistencia física y poder en los músculos para golpear de forma contundente y eficiente a su rival.

Como ya definimos anteriormente algunos de los estilos de pelea en este anime, es hora de hablar de una de las cosas que más me gusta del mismo que, son por supuesto “Los Combates”, ya que, estos tienen una gran estructura, los cuales mejoran uno tras otro mientras te sumerges en la historia, lo cual incluye nuevos estilos para dar una mayor variedad a las batallas y que no solo se resuma en un enfrentamiento entre espadachines.

Para Samurái X, es normal ver personas con habilidades muy por encima de una persona normal y me encanta el hecho de que, nuestro protagonista no pelee a muerte contra enemigos que claramente desean matarlo o llevarlo a un punto sin retorno en una pelea, ya que, el objetivo de muchos es que este vuelva a matar. Es gracias a todo eso que, se observan conversaciones bastante profundas dentro de los propios combates, donde la devoción, determinación, disciplina y fe, son fundamentales para mantener el espíritu encendido y seguir peleando.

Nuevamente, iniciamos lo que sería mi sección favorita dentro de todas mis reseñas, sé que siempre lo comento, sin embargo, es la parte que más me emociona escribir, puesto que, gracias a los personajes es que la historia se desarrolla, así que, es el momento donde por fin puedo hablar sobre los personajes que, en mi opinión fueron los mas destacados en esta historia.

• Kenshin Himura: Anteriormente conocido como Batusai el Destajador, este hombre es al principio de la serie una persona bastante tranquila, educada y protectora, teniendo aun todas sus habilidades asesinas perfeccionadas al mayor nivel, Kenshin decide dejar el camino de la matanza luego de la guerra para poder predicar la paz y la necesidad de dejar las espadas, este personaje se ve incluido en una gran cantidad de conflictos gracias a su reputación, es aquí donde se verá implicado en distintas situaciones donde deberá decidir si proseguir con su fe o entregarse a la matanza. ¿Logrará Kenshin mantenerse siendo una persona tan buena?

• Sanosuke Sagara: Niño huérfano procedente de una tropa la cual acogió y enseño las labores del oficio y la pelea, este personaje tiene una intriga bastante grande y desprende unos grandes deseos por seguir adelante y hacerse más fuerte, en compañía de Kenshin, este era un antiguo enemigo de nuestro querido protagonista hasta que el mismo lo derrota sin matarlo. Sanosuke desea pelear con sus puños llevando los mismos deseos de Kenshin y demostrando que todos tienen un lado bondadoso. ¿Será Sanosuke capaz de cumplir su promesa?

• Makoto Sishio: A mi parecer uno de los mejores enemigos en el mundo del anime, siendo bastante fuerte incluso con quemaduras que para cualquiera serian mortales, este también era un hombre de renombre en la guerra por la liberación de Japón, cuando vuelve años después es conocido como un terrorista, el cual desea la matanza y la guerra, volver al país a lo que era antes, un mundo lleno de caos. Con habilidades muy diferentes a las de un espadachín común, este usa el calor de su cuerpo para generar un fuego calcinador en su espada y llevar a cabo todo tipo de técnicas increíbles. ¿Este demonio podrá cumplir sus planes?

Llegamos al final de otro increíble post, el cual quería presentarles hace tiempo, ya que anteriormente les he traído post referente a las películas originales de Netflix de Samurái X que, si bien son bastante buenas, nada como ver la entrega original en la cual fue basada. Por ende, si son fans del anime como yo y les encantan este tipo de historias, espero lo vean si aun no lo hacen, les aseguro que quedarán encantados con este anime que vi alrededor de los años 90.
