Greetings to the Hive community and fans of horror movies, or any genre for that matter. I don't usually watch horror movies because I don't like to get stressed, see scary things, or anything that gets on my nerves.
This movie came to me on the recommendation of my daughter, who is a big fan of the genre. I have to be honest: it's an incredibly raw and heartbreaking work. At first, I struggled to make sense of so much gratuitous violence and cruelty; however, as the story unfolded, I was able to reflect and perceive that behind that visual impact lie complex psychological conflicts about trauma, guilt, and the limits of mental endurance.
The story begins with Lucie, a girl who manages to escape from a place where she was held captive and systematically tortured. Years later, Lucie, consumed by trauma and accompanied by her only friend, Anna, seeks revenge against those who wronged her. However, what seems like a simple story of retribution transforms into a descent into the darkest levels of human cruelty, where a secret group seeks answers to existential questions through extreme suffering.
Upon viewing it, I observed that it reflects several psychological conflicts experienced by the individuals, which are:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Lucie's inability to distinguish between reality and her terrifying visions demonstrates how trauma fragments the mind.
Survivor's Guilt: We see how Anna sacrifices herself for her friend, carrying a pain that isn't hers, but for which she feels responsible.
Dehumanization: The conflict of the perpetrators, who have erased any trace of empathy in the name of a "higher cause" or scientific/spiritual curiosity.
Extreme Resilience: The capacity of the human mind to disconnect from the body when pain surpasses the imaginable.
I was impressed and curious to know if this film was based on a real-life case, so I decided to do my own research. I was glad to find out it wasn't. However, despite not being a story based on a true event, my research broke my heart to see that it reflects events that have occurred throughout history, such as:
Human experiments reminiscent of the horrors committed in concentration camps or medical experimentation units (like Unit 731), where human beings were used as "samples" for unethical scientific studies some.
Ideological Sects: Extremist groups that, throughout the centuries, have used martyrdom and torture as a path to achieving "enlightenment" or metaphysical truths.
Isolation and Kidnapping: Real cases of prolonged captivity (such as those of Natascha Kampusch or Elisabeth Fritzl), where psychological control is as strong as physical chains.
Although it's not a film suitable for all audiences due to its cruelty and realism, I recommend it to those who enjoy this genre. If you decide to watch it, try not to be too sensitive, as it's a very raw film that leaves you pondering quite delicate issues and makes you reconsider the role of human beings and the limits of our own nature.

Saludos comunidad de Hive y amantes de las película de terror o del género que sea esta película, nos soy de ver peliculas de terror porque no me gusta estresarme, ver cosas de miedo ni nada que me altere los nervios.
Esta película llegó a mí por recomendación de mi hija, que es una gran entusiasta del género. Debo ser honesta: es una obra increíblemente cruda y desgarradora. Al principio, me costaba encontrarle sentido a tanta violencia y crueldad gratuita; sin embargo, a medida que transcurre el relato conseguí reflexionar y percibir que detrás de ese impacto visual se esconden complejos conflictos psicológicos sobre el trauma, la culpa y los límites de la resistencia mental.
La historia comienza con Lucie, una niña que logra escapar de un lugar donde fue retenida y torturada sistemáticamente. Años después, Lucie, consumida por el trauma y acompañada por su única amiga, Anna, busca venganza contra quienes le hicieron daño. Sin embargo, lo que parece una simple historia de represalia se transforma en un descenso a los niveles más oscuros de la crueldad humana, donde un grupo secreto busca respuestas a preguntas existenciales a través del sufrimiento extremo.
Al verla, pude observar que en ella se reflejan varios conflictos a nivel psicológico de los individuos, los cuales son:
El Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático (TEPT): La incapacidad de Lucie para distinguir entre la realidad y sus visiones terroríficas muestra cómo el trauma fragmenta la mente.
La Culpa del Superviviente: Vemos cómo Anna se sacrifica por su amiga, cargando con un dolor que no es suyo, pero del que se siente responsable.
La Deshumanización: El conflicto de los victimarios, quienes han anulado cualquier rastro de empatía en nombre de una "causa superior" o curiosidad científica/espiritual.
La Resiliencia Extrema: La capacidad de la mente humana para desconectarse del cuerpo cuando el dolor supera lo imaginable.
Me quedé impresionada y con la curiosidad de si esta película era algún caso de la vida real y decidí hacer mi propia investigación, me alegré de que no estuviera basada en un hecho real; sin embargo, a pesar de no ser una historai basada en un hecho real, mi investigación me rompió el corazón al ver que refleja acontecimientos que han pasado a través de la historia como son:
Experimentos Humanos que ecuerdan a los horrores cometidos en campos de concentración o unidades de experimentación médica (como la Unidad 731), donde se utilizaban seres humanos como "muestras" para estudios científicos sin ética alguna.
Sectas Ideológicas: Grupos extremistas que, a lo largo de los siglos, han utilizado el martirio y la tortura como una vía para alcanzar "la iluminación" o verdades metafísicas.
El Aislamiento y el Secuestro: Casos reales de cautiverio prolongado (como el caso de Natascha Kampusch o el de Elisabeth Fritzl), donde el control psicológico es tan fuerte como las cadenas físicas.
Aunque no es una película apta para todo público por su crueldad y realismo, se la recomiendo a aquellos que les gusta este tipo de género. Si decides verla, procura no ser sensible pya que es una película muy cruda que te deja pensando en temas bastante delicados y te hace reconsiderar el papel de los seres humanos y los límites de nuestra propia naturaleza.
