En fin, les adelanto que a pesar de ser las telenovelas los programas más vistos en la historia de la televisión venezolana, nunca fui religiosamente fiel con ninguna novela, sin embargo haciendo un ejercicio a la memoria, pude recordar tres entre tantas que pude ver y que lograron engancharme.

Anyway, I tell you that despite being the telenovelas the most watched programs in the history of Venezuelan television, I was never religiously faithful to any novel, however, doing an exercise in memory, I was able to remember three among so many that I could see that managed to hook me.

Indudablemente, la mejor telenovela de la historia de la televisión venezolana. Hasta la fecha no hay ninguna dentro de su categoría que se le iguale a esta telenovela. En ella se plasma la vida social del venezolano para la época justa en la que se produjo. Sus personajes, el tema planteado, las calles (locaciones reales) la situación política y social, todo en general convirtió a Por estas calles en el sitio de encuentro de los venezolanos. Recuerdo claramente que se popularizó la frase de Eudomar, "como vaya viniendo vamos viendo" y aunque lamentablemente muchos quisiéramos no tener que repetirla, en la actualidad es una de las que más usamos.
Otro personaje que también viene a mi memoria es El hombre de la etiqueta, aquel que hacía justicia por sus propias manos y para advertirles dejaba una etiqueta a cada cadáver.
Otro aspecto que recuerdo bien es la canción que la identifica, cantada por Jordano, cantautor venezolano que me fascina escuchar. Casualmente tenía entre sus composiciones una que encajaba perfectamente con la telenovela la cual rápidamente pegó y se escuchaba tararear entre nosotros, llamada también Por estas calles. Me emociono!!! Una de las muy pocas telenovelas que causaron impacto en mí.

Como para ir suavizando las tramas de las telenovelas y agradar la vista a los televidentes, unos de los canales más vistos en Venezuela produjo una telenovela buenísima, con ella reí, lloré, reflexioné y comenté con otras mujeres que la veían. Además de ser una telenovela cómica, tiene una fuerza dramática que me gustó. No hay edad ni para enamorarse ni para hacer posible nuestros sueños. La actriz principal Mimí Lazo (a quien admiro mucho) nos presenta un personaje; mujer adulta a quien muchos le llamaban vieja, y de la que todos dudaban de sus capacidades. ¡Ah bueno! Se le presenta a sus "ticincos" años de edad la oportunidad de hacer realidad todos sus sueños, incluido volver a enamorarse. ¡Y de quién se enamora! Acabo de recordar otra ¡Válgame Dios! Otra telenovela que me gusto.

Las novelas extranjeras fueron muy televisadas en Venezuela, aunque destacaban las novelas mexicanas, de vez en cuando nos ofrecían alguna variedad. Así fue que pude ver una linda historia desarrollada en Girasoles para Lucía, además de la trama que cuenta me encantaban sus protagonistas. Jorge Aravena, venezolano, bellísimo actor, para mi era un galán. Tan solo por verlo la novela me enganchó. Ni hablar del tema musical de la telenovela "Atado a tu amor" interpretada por Chayanne. No había más que pedir.
En la telenovela ella busca enamorarse de un hombre muy rico y además tiene pretensiones de ser una gran y reconocida actriz, pero por el camino se tropieza con el amor de su vida y ella lo ignora. Es una historia de amor bellísima. ¡Me encantó verla! De esta novela quise ver todos sus capítulos, sin embargo no me quitaba el sueño ni me interrumpía ninguna otra actividad ir a verla. Realmente no soy tan aficionada a las telenovelas.
