Production begins in April

The highly anticipated Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master, will start filming this April.

The story takes place 10 years after the tumultuous events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005) where Kenobi dealt with the corruption of his Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow, director of two critically acclaimed episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold. Casting director is Carmen Cuba.

The cast

Roles will be filled by some familiar and new faces to the Star Wars universe. The lineup is full of stars, some you may have heard of by name.

Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
