En días pasados mientras trabajaba en la computadora se abrió la ventana emergente de Nacional Geographic anunciándome la publicación de un artículo titulado Alice Guy Blaché la pionera olvidada del cine. Tratándose del cine, sus inicios y un nombre que nunca había escuchado, tomé nota para leerlo posteriormente.
Es un artículo que hace un reconocimiento a Alice Guy y a la vez se apuntala en la discriminación e invisibilización de la mujer, reinante en el mundo, para aquella época finales del siglo XIX y las primeras décadas del siglo XX, sin embargo, en el año 1953 Francia le otorga el reconocimiento de haber sido la primera mujer directora de cine, además que destaca sus aportes en cuanto a técnicas y creadora de géneros cinematográficos. Los resultados del feminismo, una producción realizada, al igual que la anterior, en el año 1906 y que en el año 1912 fue reeditada con el predictivo nombre de “En el año 2000” Ver. Es una película de 6 minutos llena de un delicado humor y que muchos han catalogado como la primera película de ciencia ficción, yo le agregaría que también entra perfectamente en la categoría de cine social.
Imaginemos a la Alice de 1906 donde los derechos humanos y mucho menos los de género no se encontraban en la palestra de discusión. Una mujer en un mundo dominado por los hombres y cuyos roles sociales era estar a cargo del hogar y en el campo laboral uno de los grandes cargos para optar era el de secretaria, que era el que Alice ejercía en ese momento. Ahora también imaginemos a un mujer llena de ideas y encuentra una vía única e inmejorable para expresarse y se le ocurre la genial idea de crear una película que rompe con el paradigma establecido intercambiando roles sociales, definitivamente es atrevida, osada, pionera y admirable.
En la cinta nos regala un mundo de ficción de intercambio de roles y de una manera muy grafica nos muestra situaciones como: la mujer cortejando al hombre, el acoso sexual, los hombres en tareas “femeninas” como planchar, coser y atender los niños, la sumisión del hombre ante en trato despectivo de la pareja, las famosas reuniones en el bar, entre otras.
Son situaciones tan puntuales y definitorias de lo que ha sido la historia de la mujer en la sociedad que no deja de impactar su asombrosa capacidad de percepción del mundo que la rodea y de encontrar los detalles que lo definen, así como la posibilidad de imaginarse un mundo distinto.
Lo cierto es que Alice Guy fue una mujer asombrosa que hizo un gran aporte al cine y al movimiento feminista mundial para ella mi reconocimiento y respeto.
