If you are a lover of mystery and suspense thrillers, then you might want to check this one out. Who is Erin Carter is a Netflix series which I was privileged to see early this week. It's a limited series with 7 episodes and this made it so easy for me to see all the episodes at a go. Here is what I think about this 2023 action crime limited series.

This series introduced us to a simple but complicated school teacher, Erin Carter who had to leave town with her daughter in a bit of a rush very early in the morning. She hopped onto a fishing boat of all things and heads off to Barcelona, Spain to start a new life.
In Barcelona, Erin Carter started over in a nice little town, got married to Jordin Collantes, and then lived a private, quiet and peaceful life. Everything was perfect for her not until a life-changing event turned up and in no time, turned her whole world upside down as it slowly spilled out all of her dirty little secrets. This event paved way for her past life to begin to catch up with her.
Trust me, this was an interesting little series, and not only did I enjoy the mystery behind this series, I also enjoyed the story and the characters. You all should know by now that I am a lover of movies/series that has good mystery and good story. Honestly, The cast did a great job with their roles. They played their roles as professionals they are and this brought a lot of beauty to the series.
I kind of loved the role of Penelope Reyna. She is one of those rich type of character you just want to stick your foot out and let gravity do the rest. People like her always wants to prove that they're better than everyone and she showcased this in this series but it sure didn't end up well with her since Erin had to put her in her place.

Another notable character I wouldn't fail to mention is that of the brilliant, spoilt, annoying little Indica Watson (Harper), who always found a way to piss me off. Seriously this disrespectful little Harper really got under my skin, but overall, her performance was brilliant.

I really enjoyed the action in this series and mind you, I wasn't really expecting that at all. So being surprised with it was a big bonus. You'll find yourself being pulled in different directions in the beginning, setting up several different plots, and just when you think it's over, it just sets up another one, which just keeps this mystery going until you get halfway through the series where everything really starts to reveal itself.

Though the action was good, I still feel some of it just kind of comes across as plot convenience. I mean, there's like some situations where something would have killed somebody, but they make it through, and it just keeps the story going. What about the perfect instrument that just happens to always be at arm's reach when needed? I thought they would have done better in this aspect though. But nonetheless, I had a good time with this series, and I would really suggest you all checking it out.
There are some strong languages and violence in this series, no sex and nudity, but a lot of blood was spilt.
