Every time you finish watching a movie, you always get recommendations, and many of them turn out to be good, entertaining, and much better than you’d expect. Plus, lately they’ve been trying to create something different—something that isn’t just another run-of-the-mill movie—which is why Masterstroke was recently released. It’s a thriller that leaves you with a lot to think about, and much of what happens could certainly occur in real life—especially when it comes to money and personal gain.
Cada vez que uno termina de ver una película siempre le salen recomendaciones y muchas de ellas terminan siendo buenas, entretenidas y funciona mucho más de lo que uno esperaría. Además, ultimamente han buscado crear algo distinto y que no sea una más del montón y por eso hace poco de estreno Jugada maestra, la cual es un thriller que deja muchas cosas que pensar y seguramente gran parte de eso puede ocurrir en la vida real y más aún cuando se trata de dinero y beneficios para una sola persona.
What I liked about the movie is that it’s pretty short and gets straight to the point, with no filler, and introduces us to a millionaire who grew up surrounded by luxury and never had to go out and work like ordinary people. However, everything changes when someone discovers they won’t receive the share of the family fortune they believe they deserve, and this is where we ask ourselves: What will they do? Will they be able to reach an agreement? Will there be manipulation?
This is the movie where everyone hates each other, takes risks, and each person plays a different role when it comes to money, but ego is always present. This is the movie’s strong point, as it straddles the line between thriller and family comedy, making it quite interesting. Another thing I liked is that the movie is very modern; everything is perfect and expensive, but behind all that lies true terror, revenge, and the way family can sometimes become one’s worst enemy.
Lo que me gusto de la película es que es bastante corta y va directamente al punto, sin rellenos y nos presenta a una persona millonaria que creció con todos los lujos y sin la necesidad de salir a trabajar como las demás personas normales. Sin embargo, todo cambia cuando alguien descubre que no recibirá el lugar que cree merecer dentro de la fortuna familiar y es aquí donde nos preguntamos ¿Qué hará? ¿Podrá llegar a un acuerdo? ¿Habrá manipulación?
Esta es la película donde todos se odian, riesgos y cada uno tiene un papel distinto cuando se trata de dinero, pero siempre presente el ego. Este es el punto fuerte, ya que esta ese punto entre thriller y comedia familiar, siendo algo interesante. Otras de las cosas que me gusto, es muy moderna la película, todo es perfecto, costoso, pero detrás de todo eso existe un verdadero terror, venganza y a veces como la familia puede llegar a convertirse en el peor enemigo.
There are many aspects that could be improved, such as scenes involving decisions that do have an impact—since one would likely be at a loss for what to do—but the film simply aims to show how everything falls apart from within. Ultimately, the film delivers, showcasing an obsession with power, family name, and money, as well as many relatives who are eager to inherit something to help them build their future.
Tiene muchas cosas por mejorar, como otras donde están presentes decisiones que si impactan, ya que seguramente uno no sabría que hacer, pero la película simplemente busca es ver cómo se destruye todo internamente. Al final, la película cumple y muestra la obsesión por el poder, el apellido y el dinero, además muchos familiares lo que están es pendiente de heredar algo que ponerse construir su futuro.
