There was one that I really wanted to see because of its interesting plot, and that is “My Idol.” The story is about the Gold Boys, a band that has been together for more than 10 years and is now involved in a big problem, especially their lead singer, Do Ra Ik.
One day, Ra Ik was hanging out with one of his bandmates (Kang Woo Seong), chatting and drinking, when Ra Ik fell asleep. Al principio la historia me pareció muy interesante, sobre todo los primeros capítulos muestran una realidad que muchos no quieren aceptar y es el como algunas "fanáticas" se creen con el derecho de invadir la privacidad de sus artistas favoritos. Sobretodo en el mundo del kpop se han visto casos impresionantes y aterradores que incluye a artistas y a estos supuestos fans, justo por eso hubo quienes intentaron hacer que la serie fuera cancelada pero eso lo qje demostró es que tan real es todo lo que puede observar en el drama. También muestra el como las leyes pueden ser ambiguas, existen varias lagunas legales de las que las personas se pueden aprovechar en especial si se trata de una figura pública.
Desde un principio me encantó la banda y como fanática de mis artistas me hizo sentir muy mal ver lo mal que se llevaban al principio, pensar que hay casos reales así es triste, el saber que hay personas que tienen que fingir llevarse buen frente a cámaras para ocultar todo lo qje pasa detrás. También a lo largo del drama recordé a todos esos artistas que hemos perdido en el mundo del kpop, algunas de ellos jamás se confirmó verdaderamente la razón pero hasta el día de hoy se les sigue recordando con mucho cariño. Podemos decir que como fans es doloroso saber que ese artista ya no está pero nada se puede comparar al dolor que han de setir sus compañeros de grupo.
No me gustó tanto que la pareja de Ra Ik con la abogada puesto que ella también es fan y se podría pensar que solo cambió a una loca por otra. Sé que a varias personas que lo vieron tampoco les gustó, pero si tuviera que justificar esta relación sería diciendo que desde un principio es obvio que van a terminar juntos, además utilizaron el típico cliché de que se conocen de niños para decir que ella lo conoció y le gustó incluso antes de ser famoso. Además, en ningún momento siento que haya invadido verdaderamente la privacidad de Ra Ik, así que digamos que está bien la relación.
Este drama me recordó un poco a True Beauty y a Imitation, dramas que tratan sobre la vida de los artistas de una forma más realista de lo que uno puede pensar. Pienso que verlos nos puede ayudar un poco a recordar que aún cuando veamos a estas personas a través de una pantalla no podemos olvidar que son personas al igual que nosotros y merecen que se respeten sus derechos y privacidad.
Me tenían loca con saber quien era realmente el asesino, no lo pude decifrar si no hasta que faltaban ya dos capítulos. Lo peor de todo es que al principio quería que arreglara las cosas con su ex novia solo para que no quedara con la abogada 🤭🤭 pero con ese giro que le dieron pues me di cuenta de por qué eso no pasó.

It also shows how laws can be ambiguous, with several legal loopholes that people can take advantage of, especially when it comes to public figures.
From the beginning, I loved the band, and as a fan of my artists, it made me feel very bad to see how badly they got along at first. It's sad to think that there are real cases like this, knowing that there are people who have to pretend to get along in front of the cameras to hide everything that goes on behind the scenes. Throughout the drama, I also remembered all those artists we have lost in the world of K-pop. For some of them, the reason was never truly confirmed, but to this day they are still remembered with great affection. We can say that as fans it is painful to know that that artist is no longer with us, but nothing can compare to the pain their bandmates must feel.
I didn't like Ra Ik's pairing with the lawyer so much, since she's also a fan and you might think he just traded one crazy woman for another. I know that several people who saw it didn't like it either, but if I had to justify this relationship, I would say that from the beginning it's obvious that they're going to end up together, plus they used the typical cliché that they've known each other since childhood to say that she knew him and liked him even before he was famous. Besides, at no point do I feel that she has truly invaded Ra Ik's privacy, so let's say the relationship is fine.
This drama reminded me a little of True Beauty and Imitation, dramas that deal with the lives of artists in a more realistic way than one might think. I think watching them can help us remember that even though we see these people through a screen, we can't forget that they are people just like us and deserve to have their rights and privacy respected.
I was dying to know who the killer really was, but I couldn't figure it out until there were only two episodes left. The worst part is that at first I wanted him to patch things up with his ex-girlfriend just so he wouldn't end up with the lawyer 🤭🤭, but with that twist they gave it, I realized why that didn't happen.
En fin, si es un drama que recomiendo, si lo volvería a ver no sé, pero sin duda puedo decir con seguridad que es bastante bueno, y si no han visto True Beauty o Imitation también se los recomiendo.
Anyway, it's a drama that I recommend. I don't know if I would watch it again, but I can definitely say that it's quite good, and if you haven't seen True Beauty or Imitation, I recommend those too.
