I'll admit this series grew on me pretty fast, like after the first episode. What I can't get my head around is why would you nerf the Winter Soldier and make him a forgettable character like Falcon himself. I mean this guy took on the Avengers single handedly, and now he's bumbling around teenage super soldiers, what gives?!?
I mean What the hell happened to this guy ...
He was replaced by this guy...
Same actor, but unfortunately 😔 this happened:
There's no way the Winter Soldier can have the same power level going forward in the MCU. The guy was blipped away, arm and all, fought in the war against Thanos, TWICE, and now he gets one hitter quitter by street thugs and disarmed by Wakandan troops in seconds?
Totally nerfed.
Hopefully Marvel sees the error of their ways and redeems one of the better mid level Avengers before the next big screen flick.
The US Agent, John Walker's character arc was epic and I can't wait to see him fully introduced in the MCU, in movies etc. He is a super soldier now, and just like in the comis he's a lethal version of Cap, less of a tactician but inflicts more pain, a lot more.
Seeing the Falcon finally take on the Captain America title on screen was also a treat. My question is will they have another Captain America movie in which he's the star or will it still be called The Falcon and...? If so, what was the point? It could of also went to Bucky and everyone would have been just as pleased imo.
But, I take it Falcon's story is more beneficial to the MCU. His character has always been like meh, if we have Iron Man, War Machine and T'Challa, why the hell is there some mortal flying around with wings? 🤷♂
The villians were generic but with a good story. A lot simpler to understand than WandaVision for example. This series is easier for anyone to watch without knowing a lot about the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the comics for that matter.
All and all, it was a great series. I did like it better than WandaVision, maybe for the street level action as opposed to the magic. Not that I prefer one or the other, each have it's time. Now I'm patiently waiting until June for the Loki series, which will undoubtably have a ton of magic themes.
Anything Norse is epic, lol.
If you haven't seen the series, I recommend it. If you have, please let me know what you think in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
Peace ✌️
