Hola amigos || Hello friends
Make yourselves comfortable, this is another trip to the cartoonish past. And here I return to hang that phrase that defines the importance of our past ¨To remember is to live again¨ For me it ignites that childhood that still lurks deep inside me, that feeling that makes us nostalgic and at the same time proud to be part of a golden generation. And although there were classics that I did not enjoy at the time due to my young age in this world, they came as I got to know the fabulous world of cartoons. I am not that old, but very young, I am 38 years old and I was born in 1984 where many of these cartoons were already alive, very alive.
Personally, I still consider this generation of cartoons as mediocre. The lack of production, lack of ideas and perhaps, lack of intelligence may be the factors that make me consider it that way. Or maybe it is because of my immaturity in accepting this new generation of cartoons. Many current cartoons are reflections of some old production. That is not bad, that tells us that in our generation true works of art were created and born for the recreation and education of children and young people. Something like music, songs that today are still hits as much as in the 80s or beyond.
Today we are going to remember some great classics that, for sure, will surprise you when you start reading and seeing the images of those legendary characters of our childhood. As they say ¨We dropped the cedula¨ You are I managed to see them when I was very small. I don't remember them clearly, but just by remembering the title of those cartoons, I felt like a child again. Surely you know and understand what I mean. Fasten your seat belts, the flight is about to begin.
And we landed in an atomic world. The Hanna-Barbera production chain in 1965 created an animated character who defended the world from all evil. He was the victim of an atomic explosion that caused a different reaction so much so, that it was in this way that he got his power. I am talking about the Atomic Ant. This small animal with its two antennae could detect from a distance any cry of distress turning him into a superhero feared by the villains that stalked his surroundings. Do you remember his peculiar battle cry? How about remembering a chapter of this great cartoon and shouting all together, "Against evil, the Atomic Ant!
And if you're still holding on to that cedula so you don't drop it, tell me if you remember that canine janitor who at night became a martial arts expert and used to fight for justice. Yes my friends, I am talking about Hong Kong Phooey. This is another great classic from the Hanna-Barbera animation house and this peculiar, funny and willing to fight for good, was created in 1974. I remember the way this hero transformed hahaha... How could I forget him jumping into a file cabinet and almost always getting stuck in the cabinet. I also remembered his vehicle which he transformed into whatever he needed to transport himself and not to mention that when he had doubts, he would go to his manual hahaha... What a good cartoon...
And to culminate this trip, we go for a ride in one of the best cars in the world, the Mach 5. This has been one of the most important cartoons in history. Who doesn't juice imagining himself inside this spectacular vehicle? A young car racer who, in search of answers as to where his older brother might be, will face what could be a complicated decision but which, without a doubt, he would be willing to face in order to know the truth. This cartoon was completely fun, attractive and filled us with suspense as we felt part of the car race and wished, together with Metoro, to reach the end of it. Challenges that he could overcome thanks to his race car, the Mach 5. And how not to remember the characters that were not so secondary because each one had an important role in each chapter, for example: Chispita and her pet chimpanzee Chim Chim. What do you think if we say goodbye with a chapter of this great cartoon.
There are many more animated series that I would like to remember and for that reason, this will not be an end, but a goodbye. I was very happy to remember with you these cartoons that are part of history, of my history, of our history. And yes, I repeat, to remember is to live. So you know, don't be separated for too long from these parts
this story will continue.
A bordo de la nave
me despido, mi querida familia.
