Movie Review- Alchemy of Souls 2

This is my first ever movie review, I have been putting off reviewing a movie for a while now and decided to just do it.

Finally, the long awaited alchemy of souls season 2 is out. Initially I planned to wait till they released all the episodes but I could not hold the excitement in anymore. Seeing our beloveth Characters again on screen makes me so happy.
If you haven’t watched season 1, I recommend you do so now, while all of season two has not been released.

Alchemy of Souls 2 - The Movie

Season 1 ended with Jang Uk being revived by the ice stone and has now become the most powerful man in all of Daeho being born under the kings star and all. Season two starts off with Jin Cho-yeon rejecting the wine the three men made as they did not get the water from the regular place, this leads to the youngest of them entering Jinyowon. Bu yeon the eldest daughter of the Jin family is kept in hiding, she has no memory of her past but yearns to leave the room which they plan to keep her in forever. The body is that of Bu yeon but the soul belongs to Naksu. After she and Jang Uk meets he does not recognize her because he never actually met Naksu in her real body. Somehow the two ends up getting married again. Could this be fate?.

Jang Uk has been appointed as the mage who kills soul shifters and whenever he does he is being tormented by wraiths because of the ice stone within him. This search for soul shifters made him enter Jinyowon and that’s where he meets Bu yeon for the first time although he does not know her.

The face of the three men when they thought a ghost was following them, the scene got me laughing hard.

My Opinion- Watch or Pass?

1. Naksu’s Character - When I heard that Jung So-Min (Mu Deok-i) would not be in season 2 and that the main Naksu would play her role, I was a bit confused and skeptical as to how they would put the scenario seeing that they burnt the body of the main Naksu. But that was perfectly cleared and explained. I would tell you but then I don’t want to give more SPOILERS.

2. Great Actors - The actors are all really great and played their role perfectly, although I haven’t seen any of them in another movie except Im Chul-soo (Master Lee) in the movie Again my life. Their acting made me love them and I am sure to look for movies that Jang uk and a few others have acted.

3. Amazing CGI - The special effects used for the soul shifters in my books was totally perfect
