Acerca del reparto, ya con los actores y actrices que nombraré es la excusa perfecta para que lo veas: los tres principales: Anthony Hopkins (Daniel Webster), el elegante super bello: Alec Baldwin (Bez Stone) y la talentosa Jennifer Love Hewitt (El diablo), Dan Aykroyd (julis jensen) que extrañaba ver tanto en películas, de verdad que ver estrellas exitosas juntas en una película es estupendo, creo que las personas suelen quejarse porque esperaban más de ellas pero pienso que dentro del guión estuvo fenomenal.

Anthony Hopkins lo podemos ver nuevamente en su papel de enigmático, exitoso, defensor y sofisticado personaje, Jennifer Love por su parte, la vemos interpretando a alguien muy sexy, pienso que le faltó un poco más de voluptuosidad en comparación con "Al diablo con el diablo" Superar a Elizabeth Hurley es algo difícil, pero Jennifer pudo brillar con luz propia y hacer de su personaje alguien fantástico donde no solo es la maldad pura, nos muestra lo sexy con elegancia.

La fotografía es buena, pienso que fue grabada mayormente en interiores, en sets de grabación, lo cual intuyo que ayudó mucho con el presupuesto, no me parece una película de mucho presupuesto, tal vez tuvieron que reinventarse para minimizar el gasto de tener a tales artistas en ella, encontraron equilibrio, pues hay escenas que pienso pudieron ser grabadas en exteriores algo más oxigenada.

Hay escenas que amé, me super encantaron no te las puedes perder, la más impactante es el juicio, el enfrentamiento entre los dos bandos, eso fue sublime.

El guión no nos deja con huecos, vacíos, más bien puede que te haga pensar acerca de las cosas que deseas de la vida. En lo personal esto lo pude ver hace años cuando comprendí que por mucho éxito que tengas o alcances todo lo que esperas en la vida, te das cuenta que estar justo en ese momento de "gloria" si no tienes con quien compartirla es solo "una copa vacía" (Doc Hudson - Cars) Al final siempre es el camino, las personas que te acompañaron y te ayudaron, las experiencias y la vida es lo que importa.

No hay atajos a la felicidad y no las deberías tomar, es el llamado de atención principal de esta película, donde puedes ver a un escritor vender su alma por un poco de fama, la fama no lo condujo a nada mas bien a la perdida de todos los que lo acompañaron desde sus inicios y al final, el dolor lo llevó a querer regresar al punto de partida y tomar el camino largo donde mucha gente nos espera para acompañarnos.
