Trama - Plot
Cheon Sa-rang siempre soñó con trabajar en un hotel, hasta que logra ingresar a uno de los más prestigiosos llamado Hotel King. Al no tener mucho estudio su fortaleza radico en su carisma, una linda sonrisa y ser servicial. Así fue escalando de posición hasta convertirse en el mejor talento del lugar. Pero, las cosas están por cambiar, ya que aparece en escena Gu Won, el hijo del dueño de la empresa que viene a disputarse el cargo del presidente del hotel con su hermana con la que no tiene una buena relación. Tras una serie de malentendidos y encontronazos, Gu Won le toma aversión a Sa-rang por mostrarse siempre con una sonrisa que él parece despreciar y la trata de farsante. Sin embargo, con el tiempo se empieza a sentir atraído por ella e intentará ganarse su cariño mientras la lucha por el liderazgo del hotel se pone cada vez más difícil.
Cheon Sa-rang always dreamed of working in a hotel, until he managed to get into one of the most prestigious ones called King Hotel. Not having much study, his strength lay in his charisma, a nice smile and being helpful. Thus he climbed up the ladder until he became the best talent in the place. But, things are about to change, since Gu Won, the son of the owner of the company, appears on the scene to dispute the position of hotel president with his sister with whom he does not have a good relationship. After a series of misunderstandings and clashes, Gu Won takes a dislike to Sa-rang for always showing up with a smile that he seems to despise and treats her as a fake. However, over time he begins to feel attracted to her and tries to win her affection as the struggle for leadership of the hotel becomes increasingly difficult.
Reseña - Review
No suelo ver muchos k-dramas, la verdad es que veré 2 o 3 por año. La razón es contradictoria porque me gustan tanto que cuando los termino no puedo empezar otro de inmediato ya que todavía sigo pensando en el que termine. Hasta me hago fan de la banda sonora, que es lo que me ocurrió ahora porque me parece espectacular, acompaña muy bien cada momento significativo que sucede en la serie. Mientras escribo esto estoy escuchando la playlist que encontré en Spotify.
I don't usually watch a lot of k-dramas, the truth is I will watch 2 or 3 per year. The reason is contradictory because I like them so much that when I finish them I can't start another one right away since I'm still thinking about the one I finished. I even become a fan of the soundtrack, which is what happened to me now because I find it spectacular, it accompanies very well every significant moment that happens in the series. As I write this I'm listening to the playlist I found on Spotify.
Esta serie me pareció muy entretenida, me enganchó desde el primer capítulo. Al principio tenemos algunos saltos temporales bastantes significativos pero que nos hacen dar una idea del esfuerzo que hizo Sa-rang para ganarse su lugar en el hotel y de cómo fue madurando Gu Won, que pasó de ser un crío despreocupado a tener un propósito en la vida. Es increíble hasta dónde son capaces de llevarte tus sueños si te lo propones de verdad.
I found this series very entertaining, I was hooked from the first chapter. At the beginning we have some significant time jumps that give us an idea of the effort Sa-rang made to earn his place in the hotel and how Gu Won matured from being a carefree kid to having a purpose in life. It's amazing how far your dreams can take you if you really set your mind to it.
Estos dos personajes vienen de mundos diferentes, Sa-rang es de clase media y Won es de una familia prestigiosa y millonaria, pero esto no lo hace un arrogante ni mucho menos, nada más que a su vida le faltaba cierta luz que encontró cuando conoció a Sa-rang y empezó a disfrutar de los pequeños placeres de la vida que no requieren de tantos lujos. Ella le mostró otro mundo que él aceptó y amó. También tuvieron sus obstáculos que atravesar antes de llegar a donde llegaron. Al principio se llevaban muy mal y discutían por todo. Era divertido verlos pelear, pero más genial fue ver surgir su historia de amor y apreciar como cada uno estuvo para el otro en momentos determinados.
These two characters come from different worlds, Sa-rang is middle class and Won is from a prestigious and millionaire family, but this does not make him arrogant, nothing more than that his life lacked a certain light that he found when he met Sa-rang and began to enjoy the small pleasures of life that do not require so many luxuries. She showed him another world that he accepted and loved. They also had their obstacles to go through before they got to where they got to. At first they got along very badly and argued about everything. It was fun to watch them fight, but cooler was watching their love story emerge and appreciating how each was there for the other at certain times.
Tampoco pueden faltar esos personajes secundarios que aportan su cuota de humor y sus historias paralelas, una que me gustó mucho fue la de una de las amigas de Sa-rang. Ese es otro punto a favor de esta serie, se puede ver un hermoso vínculo de amistad que me hizo emocionar. Que lindo contar con amigos así en tu vida, que sabes que estarán en las buenas y en las malas. También, como todo drama, tiene su carga emotiva y secretos que envuelven la trama y la hacen atrapante al querer llegar al hilo de la cuestión.
Also, you can't miss those secondary characters that bring their share of humor and their parallel stories, one that I really liked was the story of one of Sa-rang's friends. That's another point in favor of this series, you can see a beautiful bond of friendship that made me get excited. How nice to have friends like that in your life, who you know will be there through thick and thin. Also, like any drama, it has its emotional charge and secrets that wrap up the plot and make it gripping as you want to get to the thread of the matter.
Al contrario de lo que les paso a algunas personas que vieron la serie y dijeron que les pareció aburrida toda la disputa de la herencia y la lucha por el hotel entre los hermanos, a mí me gustó mucho esa parte. Un poco de guerra y personajes antagonistas le dan vida a una serie, en mi opinión, aunque sí pienso que se quedaron un poco cortos en esta parte.
Contrary to what happened to some people who watched the series and said they found the whole inheritance dispute and the fight for the hotel between the brothers boring, I really liked that part. A little bit of war and antagonistic characters give life to a series, in my opinion, although I do think they fell a little short in this part.
En definitiva, es una serie que disfruté muchísimo, me reí, lloré, lloré muchísimo al final, pero de pura emoción. Fue una serie reconfortante, de esas que transmite sentimientos bonitos, es cálida. Te deja el mensaje de ser perseverante y perseguir tus sueños. Es cero tóxica, las historias románticas son muy hermosas y adoré a la pareja central y al grupo de los "6 hermanos" en particular. Por favor, esto es lo que a mí me gusta denominar como series del bien, ideales para ver una y otra vez. Así que por supuesto que está más que recomendada por mi parte.
In short, it is a series that I enjoyed a lot, I laughed, I cried, I cried a lot at the end, but of pure emotion. It was a comforting series, one of those that transmits beautiful feelings, it is warm. It leaves you with the message of being perseverant and pursuing your dreams. It's zero toxic, the romantic storylines are beautiful and I adored the central couple and the "6 brothers" group in particular. Please, this is what I like to refer to as a series of good, ideal to watch over and over again. So of course it is more than recommended by me.
