Hey guys
Just finished watching Cyberpunk: edgerunner.
I have never played the game so the story was new for me, i have watched many movies of that subgenre because from what i have learn today Cyberpunk its subgenre of science fiction and to take it a bit further its something of a culture. Movies of that genre are Bladerunner , Judge Dredd , Battle angel Alita ( awesome) , Altered Carbon ( fu... awesome) etc.
Cyberpunk genre is almost often about a dystopian futuristic setting that tends to focus on a combination of lowlife and high tech featuring futuristic technological and scientific achievements, such as artificial intelligence and cybernetics, juxtaposed with societal collapse, dystopia or decay.
And here come Cyberpunk: Edgerunner
the 10 episodes series is set in such a future world and is about a David, a young kid who drops out of Arasaka Academy and becomes entwined in the world of Cyberpunks, essentially low level gang runners in the city, through a connection he forms with a Netrunner (hacker) Lucy. She introduces him to her crew, and his ability to withstand the installation of a stolen augment makes him invaluable to the team. I really liked how david always trying to follow his mothers wishes even when he fails and how honorable he is even in world full of criminals, murderers and thieves!!!
