Hello dear hive community! 😉
¡Hola querida comunidad de hive! 😉
I am very happy to be here once again sharing with you in the #Movies&TVShows community, for several days I wanted to share with you my opinions about a movie I saw some time ago on Netflix, it is a documentary type production that tells us about the life of Madame Curie.

Maria Salomea Skłodowska-Curie, better known as Marie Curie or Madame Curie, was a physicist of Polish origin. Known for conducting major studies in the field of radioactivity and being the first and only one to receive two Nobel Prizes in two different specialties Physics and Chemistry; as well as being the first woman to hold a teaching position at the University of Paris.
Now, knowing a little about who the film is about, it is appropriate to tell a little about it. The film takes us to Paris in 1934 and to the studies that this woman found herself carrying out in the field of Microbiology, but we recorded that she was the most brilliant woman in history living in a totally macho era, where being able to present her advances and research would be quite difficult. up. At the beginning, Marie faces a group of scientists who arbitrarily evict her from her laboratory, removing all her equipment and the people who worked with her; At that time, she alleges that she did not have the resources to find another space and the response of the group of teachers was probably for her to solve it however she could. That's when she wonders, is it because I'm Polish? Or because I'm a woman?
Madame Curie had left Poland for Paris to study science, and this was something rare for the time, because only men could study scientific careers and hold high positions in the Universities. It is important to note that until a few years ago this was still happening, I remember when I just entered the University, in the Physics department there were only male professors, the trainers were also gentlemen and the majority who graduated were men. Once I asked a boy from a more advanced semester the reason why there were more men than women in the career and the answer was that the IQ of men is much higher than that of women, therefore they understood more than numbers.
Needless to say, it was a totally macho comment; but the most important of all is that as time passed this changed; The girls began to take over the high schools, opposition contests, they graduated in greater numbers and even began to win the Physics talentum prizes, which is an honorable mention that is given to the best average in each specialty. Continuing with the film, it is important to emphasize that Madame continued to knock on doors and seek help for her investigations, but always with negative answers; her until one day she met Pierre Curie a scientist just like her offered help, but to which she refused.
However, he had no choice but to accept Pierre's help with many conditions of course, and work together with him inside his laboratory, which was very basic and small, but where he could start working on his research on radioactivity. Science was the reason that grew a friendship between Pierre and Madame, until Pierre asked her to marry him, which she initially rejected, but after a formal request she could not refuse.
Thus began a beautiful love story between two great scientists, they got married, had two daughters and finally found a larger space where they could have a laboratory according to their work. Until after a great job, many late nights gathered all the scientists of Paris to present two chemical elements Polonium and Radium; just as they also discovered that atoms are not finite and stable, that some are not and in their instability they emit rays and I call that process Radioactivity.
After that, came the recognition of her work, job proposals for her husband Pierre, as well as the use of radium chloride to reduce malignant tumors. After that she Pierre dies, although devastated by the loss of her that did not stop her from moving forward and she became the first university professor in Paris. But later she was questioned and hated for having an affair with a married man and for her way of thinking about sex.
She later received her second Nobel Prize, but this time in Chemistry, for the discovery of radium and polonium. By the time her first daughter was 18 years old, she allocated the gold from her Nobel Prize for the use of X-rays and thereby save many men who, due to simple sprains, were having their legs and arms amputated. The discoveries made by this brilliant scientist gave way to many medical and technological advances, as well as helped the creation of nuclear weapons and bombs.
Madame Curie, one of the most brilliant minds in Physics, who made significant contributions to Nuclear Physics and Chemistry, had to face not only the machismo of her time, but also the discrimination of not being French. However, that never stopped her and she showed that women can be successful professionals, great wives and excellent mothers. Something important that we must reflect on is that it does not matter what our skin color, nationality, religious belief or sexual preference is, the important thing is what we are capable of contributing to society and as human beings we must have the same opportunities and be treated with respect. . Madame Curie earned her position within the scientific community, I hope that she will be an inspiration to many women.
