Tengo que admitirlo, soy fan de las series de médicos, me he visto desde Dr. House hasta Grey’s Anatomy pasando por The Good Doctor, y justo de está última es de las que les quiero platicar, bueno no precisamente de la serie protagonizada por Freddie Highmore sino de una adaptación turca que está en la plataforma de HBO Max.

Doctor Milagro como ya lo comenté hace un momento es una adaptación de la serie The Good Doctor desarrollada en USA en 2017 y que al mismo tiempo es la adaptación de la serie surcoreana del mismo nombre del 2013. Lo que se me hace interesante de esta serie es el toque que le da el hecho de que se desarrolle en una cultura que no es la típica americana.

La historia comienza con Ali Vefa un joven con autismo y una gran capacidad para retener información que sufre la perdida de su hermano y el abandono de sus padres a una corta edad, por lo que termina en un centro de cuidados para niños dónde se irá forjando su vínculo con el Dr. Adil quien lo inspirará para estudiar medicina, años más tarde es el mismo Dr. Adil quien propone a Ali para que ingrese al hospital en Estambul como residente de cirugía, hospital dónde él trabaja como jefe de cirugía.

Como era de esperarse nadie en el staff directivo del hospital les tiene fe a las capacidades de Ali y lo ven como un peligro para el hospital en caso de tener alguna equivocación, es por esto por lo que Adil da su palabra para que en 6 meses Ali demuestre su capacidad o él mismo renunciará a su cargo en el hospital. Poco a poco conoceremos como las diversas historias se van entrelazando, entre oscuros secretos y momentos enternecedores que te hacen pensar en cómo el mundo puede ser innecesariamente cruel con aquellos que no lo merecen.
