La película comienza en una mina en quien sabe donde, la cosa es que hay un suceso que tiene parados a todos los trabajadores ya que muchos están llevando a uno de sus compañeros que tiene una herida expuesta donde se le puede ver el fémur sobresaliendo su piel… Reclamando mientras lo llevan, se acercan los jefes que lucen ser asiaticos, lo cual es interesante ya que estos trabajadores son todos negros, entre reclamos, empujones y demas dos de los trabajdores se miran sospechosamente dando paso a la siguiente escena que son ellos entrando a la cueva subterranea en busca de algo, mientras avanzan se encuentran con una subida pronunciada y mientras alumbran dan con un brillo aunque pareciera que ya sabian de antes que buscaban, dan unos martillazos a este resplandor en la pared y extraen lo que parece ser una piedra preciosa muy muy brillante, con tantas tonalidades que no preciera tener solo un color.
The film begins in a mine in who knows where, the thing is that there is an event that has stopped all the workers as many are carrying one of their colleagues who has an exposed wound where you can see the femur protruding skin ... Claiming while carrying him, the bosses approach, who look to be Asian, which is interesting since these workers are all black, between claims, pushing and shoving and others two of the workers look at each other suspiciously giving way to the next scene which is them entering the subway cave in search of something, As they advance they find a steep climb and as they shine the light they find a glow although it seems that they already knew what they were looking for, they hammer this glow on the wall and extract what appears to be a very very shiny precious stone, with so many shades that it does not seem to have only one color.
Entramos dentro de esta gema y acá es cuando conocemos a nuestro protagonista, el cual se encuentra en el médico haciéndose un chequeo y vamos con él a su negocio, tiene una joyería decente y se debe entrar a un espacio antes de la puerta al negocio (dos puertas con chequeo por seguridad, vaya) entra y lo espera un viejo amigo con un jugador de basket que quería gastar un dinerito porque ya le habían pagado y dos señores, los cuales se veían malhumorados y lo esperaban ahí por “Arno”. Saluda a todos muy jovialmente hasta llegar a estos dos los cuales lo apresuran y el no los deja hablar para buscarles una supuesta agua de manantial a pesar de que ellos se niegan a que haga esto, cuando se las da, le meten una cachetada que lo deja atónito y trata de calmar la situación y se los lleva a su oficina. (aunque la situación fue demasiado incómoda).

(although the situation was too uncomfortable).
Howard (que es el protagonista) intenta desesperadamente comunicarse con arno pero no le cae y los matones de este le dicen que nunca lo hará porque ya está harto de él, así que es mejor que pague los 100 mil dólares que debe o si no, lo quiebran, le quitan un dinero que traía consigo y un reloj que aparentaba para ellos ser caro, se van del lugar dejándolo demasiado molesto.
Howard (who is the main character) desperately tries to communicate with arno but he won't fall for it and arno's goons tell him he never will because he's had enough of him, so he'd better pay the $100,000 he owes or else they break him, take some money he had with him and a watch that looked expensive to them, leave the place leaving him too upset.
Sale a la calle y le deja un mensaje de voz que es un demente por enviar a matones a su tienda y quiere que le descuenten 20k por el reloj. Pasamos a un edificio, howard sale del ascensor hasta llegar a lo que parece ser su apartamento, entra y hay dos mujeres en la cama y él le empieza a gritar a una de ellas que ya es hora de despertarse porque ya es muy tarde, discuten demasiado hasta que ella le dice que ya, que solo necesita amor y ella puede dárselo así que se acuesta con ella y se relajan (historias bellacas).
He goes out on the street and leaves a voicemail message that he is insane for sending thugs to his store and wants 20k off for the watch. We move on to a building, howard gets out of the elevator to what looks like his apartment, he goes in and there are two women in bed and he starts yelling at one of them that it's time to wake up because it's too late, they argue too much until she tells him that he just needs love and she can give it to him so he goes to bed with her and they relax (naughty stories).
Al dia va a una casa de empeño, para (redoble de tambores) empeñar, una cruz en la que está michael jackson, en la tienda tasan su valor y le dan su dinero, se dirige a un restaurante y el dueño no lo quiere ahí pero le da el sobre con el dinero que le acababan de dar y le dice que apostará todo eso a un equipo de basket y procede a dar sus especificaciones, lo llaman que un jugador de basket llamado garnet que es un campeón de la nba está en su tienda y se va rápidamente hacia allá.
The next day he goes to a pawn shop, to (drum roll) pawn, a cross with michael jackson on it, in the store they appraise its value and give him his money, he goes to a restaurant and the owner doesn't want him there but gives him the envelope with the money they had just given him and tells him he will bet all that on a basketball team and proceeds to give his specs, they call him that a basketball player named garnet who is an nba champion is in his store and he quickly goes over there.
Al llegar al pasillo de su tienda se encuentra con una pelea entre dos hombres negros que parecen ser guardaespaldas y los matones de arno, alla separa la pelea pero los matones se van jurando su venganza hacia howard (quien los entiende), Howard pasa hacia su tienda y se encuentra garnett que lo llevo el mismo amigo que trajo al anterior jugador, aparentemente tienen un trato entre ellos, alla se elogian y hablan sobre todo de la nba mientras hablan sobre las cosas que puede comprar, a howard en ese momento le llega un paquete (el cual, como paso si en la entrada habian dos sujetos enormes golpeando a quien pasara), hace pasar al repartidor y se va emocionado a su oficina para abrirlo y se encuentra con un problema, golpearon a uno de sus trabajadores y este mismo le reclama que como es posible ese trato si le ha dado 8 años de su vida, que quiere algo mejor (es algo engreido), Howard ni se inmuta a lo que este empleado le dice y solo se enfoca en lo que hay dentro de este paquete. Al terminar de abrirlo encuentra en su interior la misma piedra que vimos al inicio. ¿Se la jugará entera en una apuesta?
When he gets to the hallway of his store he finds a fight between two black men who seem to be bodyguards and Arno's goons, there he separates the fight but the goons leave swearing their revenge towards Howard (who understands them), Howard goes to his store and finds Garnett who brought him the same friend who brought the previous player, apparently they have a deal between them, there they praise each other and talk about everything from the NBA while they talk about the things he can buy, howard at that moment a package arrives to him (which, as it happened if in the entrance there were two huge guys hitting whoever passed), he makes the delivery man pass and goes excited to his office to open it and he finds a problem, they hit one of his workers and this same one claims him that how is possible this deal if he has given him 8 years of his life, that he wants something better (he is something conceited), Howard does not even flinch to what this employee tells him and only focuses on what is inside this package. When he finishes opening it, he finds inside the same stone we saw at the beginning. Will he bet it all on a wager?
This film is so stressful, I don't know how they did it, but it's just like having the suspense but it's not that, it's just stress that nothing and no one is acting like someone normal, it fills you with emotions this movie, I liked it too much although... There were things above that not so much, but still, it's still a very good movie, the issue that this movie deals with also makes it very hard, it leaves in evidence the central problem which is gambling, we will see this in action during the whole time.
