Hello everyone,
I hope that everyone is in good health. And I too...
Phew... That was easy. I don't know what I was afraid of spent almost 15mins staring at the blank screen thinking of ways of explaining my disappearance from the platform for a solid 45days.
But then again I already used up all the excuses.
And to answer your question yes I am getting better, My back pain is going away and pretty soon I will be running marathons. Being fat doesn’t suit me. Being overweight was putting too much pressure on my back and knees. But I am glad that I trying to bring myself a normal weight range and am successful to an extent. And trying to lose weight is painful.
Speaking of Pain. I watched Coolie No. 1.
Why???
Because I became that kind of person who takes pleasure is putting oneself through a horrible movie.
Since it is a movie review here's a spoiler alert
SPOILER ALERT : HAPPY NEW YEAR. THIS MOVIE SUCKS.
I still am wondering what made me watch this movie. Even when I was so strongly against this one. Oh!! yeah, I forgot. The stupid virus is still around and the only source of entertainment for me is to either irritate my wife or to watch a movie.
What can I say that hadn’t already been said about this movie.
It is a movie by the Director who is so forgetful that he forgot that he cranked the same movie in the year 1995, and called it a remake. The original starred Govinda famous for his comic timing and expression and Karishma Kapoor famous for... (thinking hard) well she was famous in the nineties. The original was entertaining as it was designed for the cheesy era of the nineties. The double role thing, the overacting was considered to be a cute thing then and the comedy was ok for that time.
Now we have Coolie No 1. The so-called remake starring the director's son Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, and a bunch of people.
Ah!!! the colonoscopy without the sedative this one is. I was literally shifting from one butt cheek to other waiting for this movie to be over. It was that uncomfortable movie to get through from. This movie was the equivalent of baking a cake and serving it after 15 years. Everything stinks about this movie. It was a mindless comedy. The setup worked in the original because it was ok for that era. When there was no internet for the general public, no digital payments, and no NetFlix and chill so people were forced to go out and watch such movies in the theater.
At this point, it is just frustrating to watch anything that is coming especially from Bollywood. The sheer lack of creativity is enough just to piss the public off. I mean how lazy can you be when you don’t even bother to update the dialogue. Arrrrgghhh... I am going to buy a DVD of this movie just to set it ablaze and watch it burn my satisfaction. Maybe not. I have already sinned by watching it, I will not encourage them by buying a DVD or anything.
To be honest I found this one to be offensive. For me a movie is something that a lot of people contribute to present something that entertains or engages the audience, not enrage them. In my opinion even a reimagining of 90s movies can be engaging, the keyword be re-imagining and not copy-pasting and replacing the actors.
That’s all for tonight folk.
Thank you for listening to my rants.
And to be clear my anger is towards the movie, the final product, and not the actors. In fact, I loved the performance of Varun in Badrinath, Badlapur although I can't say the same about Sara, as this is the only film of her that I watched. Just to be clear I am just a guy who is not happy with the product, with some free time and access to the internet.
iNuke signing off.
