La música siempre ha sido una parte muy importante en mi vida, creo que no habría podido sobrellevar bien mi adolescencia sin haber conocido el rock, desde entonces toda mi vida siempre he sentido la gran necesidad de expandir mi conocimiento acerca de la música, es decir, buscar canciones o bandas que llamen mucho la atención, en este caso la película de la cual les contaré hace uso de muchísimas canciones pertenecientes a la agrupación legendaria “The Beatles” , aunque mi mamá siempre le gusto este grupo sinceramente yo solo había conocido sus canciones más populares , pero mi favorita siempre fue “Across the universe”, porque tiene una melodía perfecta para mi, creo que tiene esa carga emocional que la hace única pero aun así no pone triste sino que más bien dan ganas de suspirar de la esperanza que te transmite su música y su letra, resulta ser que el titulo de la película es precisamente Across the Universe.
Music has always been a very important part of my life, I think I would not have been able to cope well with my adolescence without having known rock, since all my life I have always felt the great need to expand my knowledge about music, that is to say , look for songs or bands that attract a lot of attention, in this case the movie I will tell you about makes use of many songs belonging to the legendary group "The Beatles", although my mother always liked this group sincerely I had only known their most popular songs, but my favorite was always "Across the universe", because it has a perfect melody for me, I think it has that emotional charge that makes it unique but still does not make it sad but rather makes you want to sigh with hope that transmits his music and his lyrics, it turns out that the title of the film is precisely Across the Universe.
La película la conocí hace relativamente poco tiempo, considerando que fue estrenada en 2007 y yo para ese entonces ni me enteré. Uno de esos días de estar tejiendo con mis apuntes del patrón que estaba creando a un lado decidí encender la televisión y me quedé escuchando esta película, tanto me gustó que logró desconcentrarme por completo de mi labor con el tejido que decidí verla completamente con toda mi atención.
I met the movie relatively recently, considering that it was released in 2007 and I didn't even know about it at that time. One of those days of knitting with my notes on the pattern that I was creating aside, I decided to turn on the television and I was listening to this movie, I liked it so much that I managed to completely deconcentrate from my work with the fabric that I decided to see it completely with all my attention.
La película narra la historia de un chico de Liverpoll que va a Estados Unidos en la década de los 60 en busca de su padre, allí se enamora de una chica, es ese entonces estaba todo el movimiento en contra de la Guerra de Vietnan. El chico decide concentrarse en hacer arte y la chica pone todas sus energías en el movimiento de protesta porque se siente muy comprometida debido a que su hermano está en la guerra. La película es un musical, yo tengo una especie de desconfianza en las películas musicales porque muchas de estas tienden a caer el lo monotono después de un rato, son pocas las de ese género que son de mi agrado, pero esta película no aburre para nada, de hecho la música es lo que más encaja.

The boy decides to concentrate on making art and the girl puts all of her energy into the protest movement because she feels so committed because her brother is in the war. The film is a musical, I have a kind of distrust in musical films because many of them tend to become monotonous after a while, there are few of that genre that I like, but this film is not boring at all In fact, music is what fits the most.
Todas la canciones de The Beatles que fueron utilizadas fueron versiones hechas por músicos importantes, cuando la vi no podía saber obviamente quienes era los intérpretes pero me di cuenta que no eran las versiones originales, estas suenan distinto pero aun así muy bien, me encantó que logran narrar las historia de una forma en que los temas forman parte de dicha narración sin tener que cambiar la letra, una de las partes de la película que mas me cautivó fue una en que el chico se encuentra en un momento muy tenso de su relación amorosa, entonces está en pleno proceso creativo de una obra que le encargaron, es ese estancamiento que todo artista plástico ha llegado a sentir, su frustración por el diseño y así mismo la relación de la fresa con todo lo que significa en su vida personal y el contexto de la guerra, al colocar la canción "Strawberry Fields Forever" es como si el espectador pudiera unirse al dolor interno del joven artista, quien ve que su amor se está perdiendo por culpa de los ideales antibélicos de su chica que ya comienzan a acercarse al fanatismo, la fresas son como disparos y bombas en la guerra, donde la sangre corre, estas imágenes visuales y auditivas hacen que la película atrape la atención de los sentidos y la comprensión y empatía del espectador.
All the Beatles songs that were used were versions made by important musicians, when I saw it I could not obviously know who the interpreters were but I realized that they were not the original versions, they sound different but still very good, I loved that They manage to tell the stories in a way that the themes are part of said narration without having to change the lyrics, one of the parts of the film that most captivated me was one in which the boy is in a very tense moment of their relationship loving, so he is in the middle of the creative process of a work that was commissioned to him, it is that stagnation that every plastic artist has come to feel, his frustration with the design and likewise the relationship of the strawberry with everything it means in his personal life and the context of the war, when placing the song "Strawberry Fields Forever" it is as if the viewer could join the internal pain of the young artist, who sees that his love is being lost for c Ulpa of his girl's anti-war ideals that are already beginning to approach fanaticism, strawberries are like gunshots and bombs in war, where blood runs, these visual and auditory images make the film catch the attention of the senses and understanding and viewer empathy.
No es mi intención arruinarles la película si aun no la han visto, pero digamos que la relación de ellos se da por perdida en cierto punto, es entonces cuando la canción "Happiness is a Warm Gun" suena para dar contexto de la situación que tuvo que atravesar el hermano de la chica que fue reclutado anteriormente en la guerra, este logra sobrevivir pero para nada bien mentalmente, es entones cuando la película no solo contextualizo una situación que pudo haber sido vivida por muchas familia americanas en aquel entonces, sino que también muestra como la chica tiene una especie de redención, porque por situaciones previas ya se había alejado un poco del fanatismo y ahora con su hermano de vuelta hay una nueva realidad que afrontar. A mi parecer esta película conserva todo el aspecto estético que pude tener un video musical ejemplar, es decir, para mí es como si todas la mejores canciones de la banda fueran unidas de una forma magistral por un hilo narrativo especifico que no deja ningún cabo suelto.
I don't mean to ruin the movie for you if you haven't seen it yet, but let's say their relationship is lost at a certain point, that's when the song "Happiness is a Warm Gun" plays to give context to the situation you had. to go through the brother of the girl who was previously recruited into the war, he manages to survive but not at all well mentally, it is then when the film not only contextualized a situation that could have been experienced by many American families at that time, but also It shows how the girl has a kind of redemption, because due to previous situations she had already moved away from fanaticism a bit and now with her brother back there is a new reality to face. In my opinion, this film preserves all the aesthetic aspect that an exemplary music video could have, that is, for me it is as if all the best songs of the band were united in a masterful way by a specific narrative thread that does not leave any loose ends.
