I was very scared to see this movie because of all the expectations I had, but from the first minutes I was already choking with laughter and that was more than enough to know that the whole movie was going to be a success, which it was, and I have already seen it twice before doing this review, it had been too long since a comedy made me laugh too much (I am hungry and sleepy), so I will watch this movie about a thousand times until I learn all the dialogues and can see it in my mind because I will remember it completely without any problem. This is the version of the completely chaotic, hormone-filled teen movies that were sorely needed in my life, and I hope there will be many more of this type coming out, why, because the simple fact that it stars two women playing lesbians made the movie a gold mine, which the rest of the movies of this type have never managed to be for me.
PJ and Josie are going to be our protagonists, two teenagers who want to have sex before they graduate, and they know who they want to do it with, but they both completely suck at socializing, so for that part it's almost impossible to get the attention of their targets, so after a series of unfortunate events that were taken completely out of context and aren't even real, PJ and Josie decide to form their Fight Club, which is actually a self-defense class for women, but they don't do it because they want to learn how to defend themselves, it's just an excuse to get close enough to Brittany and Isabel, the popular girls they want, but not everything is going to be so easy, what we thought would be a predictable movie, won't be, and it will be the best thing that could have happened in our lives.
Tenía mucho miedo de ver esta películ por todas las expectativas que tenía, pero desde los primeros minutos ya estaba ahogándome de la risa y eso era más que suficiente para saber que toda la película iba a ser un éxito, que así fue, y ya la he visto dos veces antes de hacer esta reseña, había pasado demasiado tiempo desde que una comedia me hacía reír demasiado (tengo hambre y sueño), así que veré esta película unas mil veces hasta que me aprenda todos los diálogos y pueda verla en mi mente porque la recordaré por completo sin problema alguno. Esta es la versión de las películas adolescentes completamente caóticas llenas de hormonas que tanto hacían falta en mi vida, y espero que salgan muchas más de este tipo, ¿por qué?, pues el simple hecho de que la protagonicen dos mujeres haciendo el papel de lesbianas hizo que la película fuera una mina de oro, que el resto de las películas de este tipo jamás han logrado ser para mí.
PJ y Josie van a ser nuestra protagonistas, dos adolescentes que quieren tener sexo antes de graduarse, y saben con quien quieren hacerlo, pero ambas son completamente un desastre socializando, así que por esa parte es casi imposible captar la atención de sus objetivos, así que después de una serie de eventos desafortunados que fueron sacados de contexto por completo y ni siquiera son reales, PJ y Josie deciden formar su Club de la Pelea, que en realidad vendría siendo una clase de defensa personal para mujeres, pero no lo hacen porque quieran aprender a defenderse, es solo una excusa para lograr acercarse lo sufuciente a Brittany e Isabel, las chicas populares que ellas quieren, pero no todo va a ser tan fácil, lo que creíamos que sería una película predecible, no lo será, y será lo mejor que nos podría haber pasado en nuestras vidas.
Ayo Edebiri and Rachel Sennott made the movie of their lives with this comedy, plus Rachel is a co-writer, and that explains a lot of the things that happened here, because she's simply at the perfect age to know what the comedy world is missing these days and she's giving it to us as much as she can, from Bodies Bodies Boides, and now here. Bottoms is the perfect teen comedy full of sexual desire, mayhem, unbearable teenagers, idiotic teenagers, and most of all, useless adults who don't even know how to be decent people, because as usual, their only role is to make everything worse, or to make completely horrible comments that don't help the plot at all, well, they do make us laugh.
Nicholas Galitzine as Jeff was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen, especially after watching Red, White & Royal Blue, every time he appeared it caused me to scream 'Alex, come and get your British prince, he suffered a coma, he forgot who he was, and now he's being a complete idiot', because, honestly, he only needed to be blonde to be the perfect version of a dumb blonde, although just like dumb blondes, he had no dumb at all and pretended to be an idiot so that no one would take him in series and he could do whatever he wanted. Which was the case with Brittany, her character was an infinite box of surprises, she gave a lot of laughs, and sadness too, you have to see the movie to understand that.

Bottoms es la perfecta comedia adolescente llena de deseo sexual, caos, adolescentes insoportables, adolescentes idiotas, y sobre todo, adultos inútiles que no saben ni siquiera ser personas decentes, porque como siempre, su único papel es el de empeorar todo, o de hacer comentarios completamente horribles que no ayudan para nada en la trama, bueno, sí nos hacen reír.

Que fue el caso de Brittany, su personaje era una caja de sorpresas infinita, daba mucha risa, y tristeza también, tienen que ver la película para que lo entiendan.
Josie is a love of a person that from one day to the next becomes a compulsive liar, but it doesn't last long, on the other hand, PJ, fuck, is unbearable as you have no idea, she is an unhinged person that has no control, she is horrible, in real life she wouldn't have any friend, not even Josie, because it would be impossible to stand her, which is good that this is only fiction, but unfortunately there are many people with that kind of personality, especially among adults, which is even more horrible. My favorite character was Hazel, I think she is the most real character, in a good way, that the movie has, and that only makes it more amazing.
One of the best things about this movie, besides being about two lesbian teens doing crazy things, is that it's a representation of what it should be like to be a lesbian teenager doing crazy things, no, that's not where I wanted to go. One of the best things is that normally in this kind of movies lgbtqia+ characters are only used for jokes, to tease people saying they like them, or to use them as bad examples, or stereotypical examples that are not close to reality at all, and here everyone is an equal idiot, protagonist, secondary, of those who appear very few times, there is no distinction whatsoever, it is very funny.
Josie es un amor de persona que de un día para otro se convierte en una mentirosa compulsiva, pero no dura mucho, en cambio, PJ, joder, es insoportable como no tienen idea, es una desquiciada que no tiene control alguno, es horrible, en la vida real no tendría ninguna amiga, ni siquiera Josie, porque sería imposible soportarla, lo que es bueno que esto sea solo ficción, pero lastimosamente hay mucha gente con ese tipo de personalidad, sobretodo entre adultos, lo que es más horrible todavía. Mi personaje favorito fue Hazel, creo que es el personaje más real, en el buen sentido, que tiene la película, y eso solo la hace más increíble.
Una de las mejores cosas de este película, además de ser sobre dos adolescentes lesbianas cometiendo locuras, es que es una representación de lo que debería ser ser una adolescente lesbiana cometiendo locuras, no, por hay no me quería ir. Una de las mejores cosas es que normalmente en este tipo de películas los personajes lgbtqia+ solo son usadas para chistes, para molestar a la gente diciendo que les gustan, o para usarlos como malos ejemplos, o ejemplos estereotipados que no se acercan para nada a la realidad, y aquí todo el mundo es igual de idiota, protagonista, secundario, de los que aparecen muy pocas veces, no hay distinción alguna, es muy divertido.
Watch the trailer, if it doesn't make you laugh, don't watch the movie, because you will only see stuff like that, much worse stuff, very dark jokes, and it will be horrible, but at the same time it will be very funny, because it perfectly reflects today's world, and that was a total delight, this is a completely deranged movie that is enjoyable from start to finish, it has an exquisite soundtrack, and again, I love seeing women beating up men, and believe me, when they start kicking ass, it will be too epic.
Vean el trailer, si no les hace reír, no vean la película, porque solo verán cosas de ese tipo, cosas mucho peores, chistes muy oscuros, y será horrible, pero a la vez será muy divertido, porque refleja a la perfección el mundo actual, y eso fue una delicia total, esta es una película completamente trastornada que se disfruta desde principio a fin, tiene un soundtrack exquisito, y de nuevo, amo ver a mujeres golpeando a hombres, y creánme, cuando ellas comiencen a patear traseros, será demasiado épico.
