[En/Es] A Christmas Carol (2009) - Los Fantasmas de Scrooge: My favorite Christmas movie

Hello community! How are you all? I hope very well, just like me. December has finally arrived and the Christmas specials can be smelled very close, only 2 weeks left until Christmas, what can I tell you! Time goes by so fast, I'm just trying to analyze how we got to this month if only yesterday was January, in fact, I still don't know how I've been in this beautiful community for 1 year, the thing is I wanted to share with you my opinion of my favorite Christmas movie, a very good movie but little is said about it, I'll talk about Scrooge's Ghosts. A lot is said about Home Alone or The Grinch when it comes to Christmas specials, but I rarely see A Christmas Carol, a movie which for me is the best of all the movies in this category.

It is a movie for the whole family and tells the story of one of Ebenezer Scrooge's Christmases, a senior citizen who works in his own business that he founded with his late friend Jacob Marley, and also works with Bob Cratchit. Scrooge is visited by 3 ghosts who show him his Christmas past, present and future to reflect his attitude. The film is based on the 1834 play by Charles Dicken. The movie presents a really interesting plot for me as well as the 19th century atmosphere it brings, and even more the animation it has which is made with motion capture and aims to be as realistic as possible, a factor that favors the movie a lot considering it has a dark theme.

I always remember this movie because I used to remember that they used to show it a lot on TV, my mom had DirecTV and her decoder could record the movies that were shown so one day she recorded this movie and she never erased it, she still has it on her list and this is one of the reasons why I don't forget it, it could have been one of those movies that you saw a long time ago but you don't remember them very well but in this case I saw it several times thanks to the fact that it was on the list, I got fond of the movie, even more when I understood the message of the movie at the same time as what was shown in each scene. Although I must say that I have always liked its design and scenarios, that dark tone, the ghosts and all those things that end up scaring Scrooge I really like, it gives a real touch to the film but keeps the Disney essence that gives that fantasy and nice touch to the film. Another thing I remember is that I had seen some time ago another adaptation of the book but in this case a Mickey Mouse version. Not to mention the acting that each character had, considering that it was by motion capture and obviously its dubbing, Jim Carrey had a great job giving life to the 3 spirits and all stages of Scrooge, the same with Gary Oldman who took the roles of Bob, Jacob and even little Tim.

As I'm sure I made it clear, I love every scene of the spirits as well as one of the final scenes, when Scrooge finally wakes up. One of the best scenes for me is when the spirit of the future appears, it really scared me since it came out after the death of the spirit of the present and it really has a striking design, a big shadow that forces Scrooge to see the future that awaits him. I also liked the spirit of Christmas present, but as for which of the 3 is the best I would say that the spirit of Christmas past, which is a very bright candle, which in this case Scrooge at the end of the tour decides to turn off, ie, wants to forget his past forcibly but without achieving it. The spirit of the present was interesting to me of course, but the spirit of the future is completely terrifying and is definitely more striking, in short, the future is scary. And after all that disturbing night, finally wakes up our protagonist, literally, decides to make the change and finally enjoy Christmas with his family, give happiness to his worker and show everyone that he has changed, that scene always makes me smile because it is completely different from what he was at the beginning of the film, which only in the first scene is shown as a stingy, bitter and selfish old man.

For me this is the definitive Christmas movie, it is a complete work in many ways and I always enjoy watching it. I hope you liked this post, it is for the community contest about Christmas, I wish luck to those who are going to participate and also a happy day, see you next time!

¡Hola comunidad! ¿Cómo están todos? Espero que muy bien, igual que yo. Ha llegado finalmente Diciembre y los especiales de navidad se pueden oler muy cerca, solo faltan 2 semanas para navidad ¡Que les digo! El tiempo pasa muy rápido, yo apenas trato de analizar cómo llegamos a este mes si apenas ayer fue enero, es más, aun no sé cómo llevo 1 año en esta hermosa comunidad, la cosa es quería compartir con ustedes mi opinión de mi película favorita de navidad, una película muy buena pero que poco se habla de ella, hablare de Los Fantasmas de Scrooge. Se dice mucho de Mi pobre angelito o El Grinch en cuanto a especiales navideños, pero pocas veces veo nombrar a Los Fantasmas de Scrooge, película la cual para mi es la mejor de todas las películas de esta categoría.

Es una película para toda la familia y nos cuenta la historia de una de las navidades de Ebenezer Scrooge, un adulto mayor que trabaja en su propio negocio que fundo junto a su difunto amigo Jacob Marley, también trabaja junto con Bob Cratchit. Scrooge es visitado por 3 fantasmas que le enseñan sus navidades pasadas, el presente y su futuro para reflejar su actitud. La película está basada en la obra de Charles Dicken, en 1834. La película presenta una trama realmente interesante para mí al igual que el ambiente del siglo 19 que trae, y más aún la animación que tiene la cual está hecha con captura de movimientos y tiene como objetivo ser lo más realista posible, factor que favorece mucho a la película teniendo en cuenta que tiene una temática oscura.

Recuerdo siempre esta película ya que antes recordaba que la pasaban mucho por la tele, mi mamá tenia DirecTV y su decodificador podía grabar las películas que pasaban así que un día grabó esta película y nunca la borro, aun la tiene en la lista y esta es una de las razones por la cual no la olvido, pudo haber sido una de esas películas que viste hace tiempo pero no las recuerdas muy bien pero en este caso la vi en varias ocasiones gracias a que estaba en la lista, le agarre cariño a la película, más aun cuando entendí el mensaje de la película al mismo tiempo que lo que se mostraba en cada escena. Aunque debo decir que desde siempre me ha gustado su diseño y escenarios, ese tono oscuro, los fantasmas y todas esas cosas que terminan asustando a Scrooge me gusta mucho, le da un toque real a la película pero mantiene la esencia Disney que da ese toque fantasioso y bonito de la película. Otra cosa que recuerdo es que había visto hace tiempo otra adaptación del libro pero en este caso una versión de Mickey Mouse. Y ni se diga de la actuación que tuvieron cada personaje, teniendo en cuenta que era por captura de movimiento y obviamente su doblaje, Jim Carrey tuvo un gran trabajo dándole vida a los 3 espíritus y a todas las etapas de Scrooge, lo mismo con Gary Oldman que tomo los papeles de Bob, Jacob e incluso al pequeño Tim.

Como ya seguro les deje claro, cada escena de los espíritus me encantan al igual que una de las escenas finales, cuando Scrooge finalmente despierta. Una de las mejores escenas para mi es cuando aparece el espíritu del futuro, realmente me daba miedo ya que salía luego de la muerte del espíritu del presente y la verdad tiene un diseño llamativo, una gran sombra que obliga a Scrooge a ver el futuro que le espera. También me gusto el espíritu de la navidad presente, pero en cuanto a cuál de los 3 es el mejor yo diría que el de la navidad pasada, el cual es una vela bastante luminosa, que en este caso Scrooge al final del recorrido decide apagar, osea, quiere olvidar su pasado de manera forzosa pero sin lograrlo. El espíritu del presente me fue interesante claro, pero el del futuro es aterrador completamente y es definitivamente más llamativo, en pocas palabras, el futuro da miedo. Y luego de toda esa noche perturbadora, finalmente despierta nuestro protagonista, literalmente, decide hacer el cambio y disfrutar por fin la navidad junto con su familia, dar felicidad a su trabajador y demostrar a todos que ha cambiado, esa escena siempre me saca una sonrisa ya que es completamente diferente a lo que él era al comienzo de la película, que nada más en la primera escena se nos muestra como un anciano tacaño, amargado y egoísta.

Para mi esta es la película definitiva de navidad, es una obra completa en muchos sentidos y siempre disfruto de verla. Espero les haya gustado este post, es para el concurso de la comunidad acerca de navidad, les deseo suerte a aquellos que van a participar y también un feliz día ¡Hasta la próxima!
