This year's Oscars I think will have the fewest accurate predictions. There are some very good films nominated, but I'm upset about some that were left out and deserved to be in the top category. Women Talking I stopped watching it halfway through, something I never do, I always watch everything to the end, even if the movie is bad, but this movie is unbearable as mannerist and full of proselytizing.

Tampoco puedo evitar expresar queWomen Talking tampoco me parece que deba estar en esa categoría. Me río cada vez que leo un titular que dice que es la versión femenina de 12 Angry Men. Women Talking dejé de verla a la mitad, algo que nunca hago, siempre veo todo hasta el final, aunque la película sea mala, pero esta película es insoportable por manierista y llena de proselitismo.

Miré al público y una chica me observaba feo, debe ser feminista. Otros murmuraban, pero pude oír cómo me llamaban viejo loco al que le gustan las películas aburridas, porque para ellos Top Gun Maverick era la mejor y esperan que gane el Oscar. Continué con mi perorata.

All Quiet On The Western Front is a great film and deserves to win, but maybe the academy will go for something more classic, The Fabelmans, which is not to my liking, I appreciate Spielberg's films, but even last year's musical was better than The Fabelmans. De lo cual me alegro, lo dije cuando la vi, una de las mejores del año pasado y es una película en la que crítica y público se han puesto de acuerdo. Es mi apuesta y me alegraría que ganara, ya que es algo diferente a las premiadas de los últimos años.

Algunas personas levantaron la vista de sus teléfonos móviles, dándome a entender que, aunque estaban haciendo cosas con sus smartphones, también me estaban escuchando. Hice que les creí, formar parte del juego, y así abordé una categoría fuerte, la de Mejor Actriz.

Esta categoría está muy reñida todos los años, siempre hay cinco actrices increíbles. No es ningún secreto que me encanta Ana de Armas en Blonde, pero lo que hace Cate Blanchett en Tár es monumental, un personaje con muchas capas, que en un momento provoca repulsión por lo que hace, un personaje que es una profunda reflexión sobre el abuso de poder. Para mí es la ganadora absoluta, hace tiempo que es mi favorita, pero después de los premios SAG, donde Michelle Yeoh fue la ganadora, hay una grieta, puede que la academia sorprenda y prefiera un personaje con valores más positivos como el interpretado por Yeoh. Gane quien gane me daré por satisfecho, pero mi apuesta sigue siendo Blanchett.
