Yes, I was disappointed too. Claire Danes practically repeated some of the mannerisms of her character in Homeland, who had mental health issues. Here, the problems stem from the personal tragedy of losing her son, but her mannerisms and paranoia reminded me a lot of her character in Homeland.
The beginning and premise of the story were good, but they ruined it. Many episodes went nowhere, and for me, the worst part was the resolution. The ending they gave the whole story was rushed and completely destroyed any credibility.
I don't know what kind of series or movies you like best, but I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend a movie on Netflix called Train Dreams. The film moved me; I posted a recommendation about it last December. I thought it was a very beautiful film that went largely unnoticed during the last awards season.
Of the miniseries I've just watched, this is a new adaptation of Lord of the Flies, and I liked it. I've added it to my list to write a review soon.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
