How many adaptations have been made of The Three Musketeers? Countless, very many. Theater, cinema and television in different countries have adapted this work, some with bad results and others with outstanding productions. It is a true classic, very well known. I remember I was very young when I had the opportunity to see a black and white movie that was broadcast on television, which motivated me to look for the original source, the novels of Alexandre Dumas.

By the way, some time ago I read a book (I don't remember the name) and later information spread on the internet, where it was debated who really wrote The Three Musketeers. Dumas used teams of people to help him in the style of ghostwriters for his novels. The historian Auguste Maquet was one of them and it seems that much of The Three Musketeers was written by him, although he was never legally acknowledged. What a rascal Dumas was, wasn't he? Even the one you least believe.

I also remembered that a few years ago there was a British series called The Musketeers that ran for about three seasons. I watched the first few episodes, it wasn't a bad series, but it didn't hook me enough, so I stopped watching it in the first season. Anyway I recommend it, it's a good option if you're left wanting more adventures after watching the movie.

Coincidentally this year another version of The Three Musketeers was also released, directed by Bill Thomas, it's a very bad British production. I tried to watch it a year ago and couldn't even get half way through, it's a disaster. So I approached this other French version, with low expectations, which was beneficial, because I was quite surprised. Be careful when looking for the version I recommend, don't confuse it with the other one.

El teatro, el cine y la televisión de diferentes países han adaptado esta obra, algunos con malos resultados y otros con producciones sobresalientes. Es un verdadero clásico, muy conocido. Recuerdo que era muy joven cuando tuve la oportunidad de ver una película en blanco y negro que se emitía por televisión, lo que me motivó a buscar la fuente original, las novelas de Alejandro Dumas.

Por cierto, hace algún tiempo leí un libro (no recuerdo el nombre) y posteriormente información que se difunde en internet, donde se debatía quién escribió realmente Los Tres Mosqueteros. Dumas utilizaba equipos de personas que le ayudaban al estilo de los escritores fantasmas para sus novelas. Hasta el que menos te crees.

También he recordado que hace unos años hubo una serie británica llamada Los Mosqueteros que duró unas tres temporadas. Vi los primeros capítulos, no era mala serie, pero no me enganchó lo suficiente, así que dejé de verla en la primera temporada. De todas formas la recomiendo, es una buena opción si te quedas con ganas de más aventuras después de ver la película.

Casualmente este año también se estrenó otra versión de Los Tres Mosqueteros, dirigida por Bill Thomas, es una producción británica muy mala. Intenté verla hace un año y no pude ni llegar a la mitad, es un desastre. Así que me acerqué a esta otra versión francesa, con bajas expectativas, lo cual fue beneficioso, porque me sorprendió bastante. Ten cuidado cuando busques la versión que recomiendo, no la confundas con la otra.

In a few months we will be able to enjoy Les Trois Mousquetaires: Milady to close this diptych directed by Martin Bourboulon, a filmmaker of whom I had only previously seen Eiffel, the film about the construction of the Eiffel Tower that had its charm and the director already proved to have a pulse for telling stories that move.

The first film closes most of the conflicts but also leaves the door open for the next adventure, because the great conspiracy against the King continues, with a mysterious character we have seen, but don't know who he is, who is handling the treachery in the shadows. The cliffanger is great, leaving expectations high for the next movie.

Les Trois Mousquetaires: D'Artagnan es la primera película, en total serán dos, que se rodaron simultáneamente. Esto significa que la segunda parte ya está lista y también se estrenará este año. En unos meses podremos disfrutar de Les Trois Mousquetaires: Milady para cerrar este díptico dirigido por Martin Bourboulon, un cineasta del que sólo había visto anteriormente Eiffel, la película sobre la construcción de la Torre Eiffel que tenía su encanto y el director ya demostró tener pulso para contar historias que conmueven.
