Happy New Year guyss.
Last year I wasn't really interested in watching a lot of movies but one of the movies I knew I had to watch as soon as I saw its trailer was The Life List.
It was very intriguing and captivating, had me wanting more so I went for it.
PLOT
The Life List is a 2025 American romance comedy about a lady, Alex whose mother Elisabeth succumbs to cancer and upon her death she leaves her will for her children to be executed by a young lawyer named Brad.
During the will reading, Alex discovers that she has been stripped of her CEO position in her mother's company, she gets only 20% shares of the company and that her inheritance will be handed to her after she accomplishes the life list she made at age 13.
Sounds bizarre right? Well that's not all for each of the things she accomplishes on the list, Brad will give her a corresponding video tape.
This takes Alex through ups and downs from grief to thinking she found love to finding secrets about her family to actually finding love and finally completing the list.
This movie was a complete rollercoaster for me. I loved how even though Alex felt following the list to get her inheritance was ridiculous she still stuck to it not just for the inheritance but because she also wanted to discover and free herself too.
I also love how even as Elizabeth knew she was dying, she didn't want to leave without making sure she had her children situated.
I loved the passion that was put into this movie, it showed me that it's never too late to find yourself. I'll recommend it to anyone who hasn't already watched it and I'll rating it 5/5
Let me know your thoughts on it too.
Lots of love from jhymie 🥰
