I love it when I find a series that I didn't expect to see and it ends up being an adventure. I am not up to date with all the series or movies that are coming out, the same thing happens to me with video games, but when without knowing, without seeing a trailer, a review or something like that, I end up watching a series or movie that I completely enjoy. That has happened to me with the series From Scratch, I'm sitting at lunch and I decide to enter Netflix to play a series on my list and on the welcome screen I see Zoe Saldaña, an actress whose work I've enjoyed and without thinking twice, I hit play.
Me encanta cuento encuentro una serie que no esperaba ver y termina siendo toda una aventura. No estoy al día con todas las series o películas que van a salir, lo mismo me pasa con los videojuegos, pero cuando sin saber, sin ver una tráiler, una reseña o algo parecido, termino viendo una serie o película que disfruto por completo. Eso me ha pasado con la serie Desde Cero, me sentando a almorzar y decido entrar a Netflix para poner a reproducir alguna serie de mi lista y en la pantalla de bienvenida veo a Zoe Saldaña, una actriz de la cual e disfrutado su trabajo y sin pensarlo dos veces, le di reproducir.
I hadn't even seen the name of the series or if it was a movie, I just watched it and started to enjoy a mini series, a fact that I realized when I finished watching the first episode and discovered the name as well. To my surprise, I ended up watching 6 episodes in a row, it was a Sunday afternoon, I was resting and I didn't expect to get so caught up in it. I enjoy series of romance, drama, mixed with moments of comedy, but from an approach as if it were real life, nothing exaggerated and that has been my experience with this series.
Ni si quiera había visto el nombre de la serie o si era una película, solo la vi y comencé a disfrutar de una mini serie, una dato que me di cuenta al termina de ver el primer episodio y descubrir el nombre también. Para mi sorpresa, termine viendo 6 capítulos seguidos, era un domingo en la tarde, me encontraba descansando y no esperaba que me atrapara tanto. Yo disfruto las series de romance, drama, mezcladas con momentos de comedia, pero desde un enfoque como si se tratase de la vida real, nada exagerado y eso ha sido mi experiencia con esta serie.
From Scratch is a series that takes us into the life of Amy, interpreted by Zoe Saldaña, a student who travels to Italy and meets the love of her life. From this point we will begin to see how this love grows, how it is forged from the first glance to the most difficult moments faced by the couple. The cultural aspect is very present, a colored girl from Texas with an Italian, two families with strong cultural traits although I don't care about the cultural or color aspect, in some parts of the world it is a complicated issue.
Desde Cero es una serie que nos lleva a conocer la vida de Amy, interpretada por Zoe Saldaña, una estudiando que viaja a Italia y conoce al amor de su vida. Desde este punto comenzaremos a ver como este amor va creciendo, como se va forjando desde la primera mirada hasta en los momentos más difíciles que afrontan la pareja. El aspecto culturar esta muy presente, una chica de color de Texas con un Italiano, dos familias con rasgos culturales fuertes aunque a mi me da igual el tema cultural o de color, en algunas partes del mundo es un tema complicado.
In this series we are going to see a theme that is perhaps already quite common, a girl who goes to another country, falls in love and has to deal with her family. There are many movies with this theme, but the reason I liked this one is because somehow it made me connect with the human side represented by the actors. Zoe's performance was great for me, from watching her laugh, to crying, her interpretation of the emotions that Amy had to live, were up to par.
En esta serie vamos a ver un tema que quizás ya es bastante común, una chica que va a otro país, se enamora y le toca lidiar con la familia. Hay muchísimas películas con este tema, pero la razón por la que está me haya gustado es porque de alguna forma me hizo conectar con el lado humano representado por los actores. La actuación de Zoe para mi fue estupenda, desde verla reír, hasta llorar, su interpretación de las emociones que le toco vivir a Amy, estuvieron a la altura.
One of the aspects that I loved about the series is the theme of cooking, this aspect is present from the beginning to the end, in the last episode. One of the characters is a chef and the Italians are known for being demanding when it comes to cooking and this is going to be present throughout the series, different food dishes, teachings, grandma's recipe and many aspects that somehow make you appreciate the art of cooking and as lately I have been involved in that world, it was a detail that I did not expect from the series and that somehow was one of the main elements.
Uno de los aspectos que me encantó de la serie es el tema de la cocina, este aspecto esta presente desde el inicio hasta el final, en el ultimo episodio. Uno de los personajes es un chef y los italianos son reconocidos por ser exigentes a la hora de cocinar y esto va a estar presente a lo largo de la serie, diferentes platos de comida, enseñanzas, la receta de la abuela y muchos aspectos que de alguna forma de hacen apreciar el arte de la cocina y como últimamente he estado involucrado en ese mundo, fue un detalle que no me esperaba de la serie y que de alguna forma era uno de los elementos principales.
Perhaps many people can identify with this series, every couple and even the relatives of that couple, go through situations in life that sometimes make us give up our dreams, sacrifice ourselves for other people and let time pass, when we should continue working for those things that we are passionate about. That's what I loved to see in this series, how the protagonist couple fights for their dreams, her dreams, his dreams and their dreams as a whole.
Quizás muchas personas se puedan ser identificadas con esta serie, toda pareja y aun los familiares de esa pareja, pasan por situaciones en la vida que a veces nos hacen dejar nuestros sueños, sacrificarnos por otras personas y dejamos de que pase el tiempo, cuando deberíamos seguir trabajando por esas cosas que nos apasionan. Eso me encanto ver en esta serie, como la pareja protagonista lucha por sus sueños, los sueños de ella, los sueños de el y los sueños en conjunto.
In this love story, for me there is one of the two who is more fortunate to find such a beautiful love. En esta historia de amor, para mi hay uno de los dos que es mas afortunado por encontrar ese amor tan bonito. No quiero decir quien para que tu vivas tu propia experiencia y saques tu propia conclusión, pero en esta historia, uno fue más afortunado que el otro. En esta serie veremos toda una vida de pareja, desde el inicio del amor, esa etapa de noviazgo e inseguridades, los primeros años de matrimonio y felicidad y luego esos años de relación donde toca ser adultos y enfrentar los diferentes desafíos que tiene la vida: enfermedades, despidos, logros laborales, hijos, etc.
I'm not going to lie, this series can make you cry enough. I'd love to tell you things, but you have to live your own experience. A fun fact I read about Attica Locke, the creator behind this romantic adventure, is that many of the things that happen in this mini-series are real events. Knowing that gave me to understand why I felt that some things went beyond acting, in the atmosphere of the series there was something magical characteristic of the suffering that a person has after difficult moments in his life and so I could check it to know how Attica developed this story.
No les voy a mentir, esta serie puede hacerte botar la grimas suficientes. Me encantaría contar cosas, pero debes vivir tu propia experiencia. Un dato curioso que leí sobre Attica Locke, la creadora que esta detrás de esta ventura romántica, es que muchas de las cosas que suceden en esta mini seri son acontecimientos reales. El saber eso me dio a entender porque sentía que algunas cosas iban mas allá de la actuación, en el ambiente de la serie había algo mágico característico del sufrimiento que tiene una persona tras momentos difíciles en su vida y así lo pude comprobar al conocer como Attica desarrolló esta historia.
The series has 8 episodes of almost 1 hour, I would love for the series to last a little longer, but it was really enough with those 8 episodes. I enjoyed the cultural elements, I enjoyed the romance, I enjoyed the happy and sad moments, I enjoyed all the cooking theme present in the series, I really wouldn't change anything. Yes, there are things to improve, you are always going to see them in all things and that is because of each person's tastes, but I have learned to enjoy series or movies, leaving aside prejudices, that if they follow the book or not, I really look for entertainment and if the series or movie gives it to me, even being different from the book, then it's fine by me, except for the horrible hairpieces in the House of Dragon hahaha.
La serie cuenta con 8 episodios de casi 1 hora, me fue encantado que la serie durara un poco más, pero realmente fue suficiente con esos 8 capítulos. Disfrute los elementos culturares, disfrute el romance, disfrute los momentos alegres y tristes, disfrute todo el tema de cocina presente en la serie, realmente no cambiaria nada. Si, hay cosas que mejorar, siempre las va a ver en todas las cosas y eso es por los gustos de cada persona, pero he aprendido a disfrutar de series o películas, dejando de lado prejuicios, que si siguen el libro o no, realmente busco entretenimiento y si la serie o película me lo da, aun siendo diferente al libro, entonces por mi esta bien, salvo las pelucas horribles en la casa del dragón jajaja.
If you like romance, if you like cooking, if you want to live 8 hours of a series that is a roller coaster of emotions, emotions that lead to the rebirth and reunion of happiness, then I recommend that you watch From Scratch . I won't leave the trailer here and I recommend that you don't even watch it, so that everything is a surprise, I didn't even want to talk too much about the characters, because this way you live the emotions as it should be. Si te gusta el romance, si te gusta la cocina, si quieres vivir 8 horas de de una serie que es una montaña rusa de emociones, emociones que llevan hasta el renacer y reencuentro de la felicidad, entonces te recomiendo que veas Desde Cero. No te dejare el tráiler aquí y recomiendo que ni lo veas, para que todo sea sorpresa, incluso no quise hondar mucho en hablar de los personas, porque así vives las emociones como debe ser. ¡Hasta una próxima reseña!
